Must buy if you have pets

I have a husky and use this daily. A full charge will last us 2-3 days to vacuum up the house. It picks up all our dogs fur plus the fluffy stuff in dog toys he destroys. This is a must buy if you are looking for a cordless vacuum that actually picks up dog hair. The led light that turns on even allows you to vacuum in the dark! Iol

Not the suction power or battery power I expected

I believe this vacuum would be fine for someone who lives in a small house and does not have pets. Despite charging the unit for over twelve hours prior to use, the battery only lasted twenty minutes. One is supposed to charge the vacuum for five hours each time. Therefore, I would have to spend hours waiting for the unit to charge before I can use it again. That is not practical. I also have three pets and found myself going over the same spot over and over to pick up all the hair. Like I said, this would be a fine vacuum for someone who lives in a smaller place, has fewer pets, etc. I returned this unit and have decided to spend the extra cash to purchase another one of the cordless D vacuums. They are far superior as far as battery power and suction strength. Not practical for my needs. It is lightweight and easy to use. Another minus is that it did not fit under the couch or other low furniture. I guess I expected more from a Bissell. I have had one of their electric carpet shampooers for years and it has served me well. This one was a disappointment, to be perfectly honest.

Great for hard floors ... but for carpet, not so much

This is perfect for what we needed it for -- sweeping up cat litter around the cat box on a tile floor and for everyday vacuuming of cat hair/crumbs/etc. on our wood floors. Works great for that and we LOVE that it is cordless and recharges on the wall. If you need a vacuum for carpet, however, stick with a more powerful and suckier (!!) vacuum. (We LOVE the Shark Lift Away vacuum for carpet)

Pretty good overall

What everyone needs to know firsthand is that this model number 3080 does not exist on the Bissell site when you are ordering replacement parts. The relevant part number at Bissell is: Model No 29037 Only Amazon sells this as Model 3080. If you want verification of this statement go ahead and spend the time I spent with Bissell Customer support. I had no problems with this model and only wanted an extra filter so I could wash and probably dry the one that came with the product. If you search replacement parts for model 3080 at Bissell you will come up with nothing. If you search replacement parts on Amazon for replacement parts you will come up with a hodgepodge assortment of their best guesses. If Amazon is going to sell a Bissell product here under a different name then they should support that name with specifics. All that said I was mostly impressed with this little lightweight vacuum. There are pet hair vacuums selling for $600. So if you want a pretty good product for $250 I recommend this one. It gets most of the hair in one or 2 swipes. I have a longhair Ragdoll cat that sheds constantly and has very fine hair that likes to cling in carpets and this vacuum does well. Good points: Lightweight and has headlights that really show the dirt. Easy charge and storage. Does clean pet hair. Easier on the wallet then other expensive models Easy empty of dirt and relatively inexpensive replacement parts. Why 4 stars instead of 5? Negatives: Doesn’t stand up on its own. Most stick vacs don’t but after leaning it against things and it still flopping to the floor you’ll know what I mean. The weird Amazon vs Bissell model number thing. The insides of the sticks or tubes aren’t round and even have inner molding bumps that larger pieces of debris can’t get past. So even though the vac will suck some pieces into the transport tubes it may not get past one of these inner molding bumps and this will lessen the vacuum power until you find it rattling around in the tube. My recommendation is to get to know where these are by looking in all the filter areas

I really like the vacuum…

Battery seems good I can get done with pretty much the whole house on one fully charged battery and it picks up dirt and dog hair quite well. That being said - I wanted to have some more of the febreeze filters like the one that came with the vacuum when I bought it. Apparently, though it’s not a real thing? This really irritates me. especially since I bought the febreeze filter that’s listed with the vacuum as something “frequently bought together”. I got it and opened the box and the thing is as big as my head so obviously it doesn’t fit this vacuum.

Good vacuum, better customer service

The vacuum works great, however the foot hose breaks often. When contacting bissell customer service they will replace “under warranty” and send a new one. I’ve had to replace it twice so far. Kind of annoying, but it still works for know.

It's not the Dyson, but it gets the job done.

It's not the Dyson, but it gets the job done. I love the light on the front and it has good suction. Still, the process of emptying the canister is too difficult as compared to the Dyson -- where you just have to press a button and the dust empties. This machine requires you to snap off the canister, pull out the central piece, empty, and the central piece is a bit of a job to click together again. It's not impossible, but it's a drag. Much heavier than the Dyson, too. Still, for the price... A drag, but for the price, I'll deal.

Bad product, even worse service

My Bissel vaccum broke down after a couple of months. Since then, neither the seller nor the manufacturer are willing to help. The seller says it's not his problem, and the manufacturer claoms they don't have any warranty and service for Singapore. This was one of the worst online shoppong experiences of my life
