Built Tough !!!!

I've been in the Rc. World fór alot of years Bashing. This truck is bullet proof. I've jumped this truck 5 ft. Up n 15ft out landed did 4 cartwheels 3summer salts and all in-between walked over flipped the truck back on wheels and off it goes. BULLET PROOF. no broken part, lots of fun racing against my Bros.... Oh , I took that funny cheep body off, replaced it with a Baja bug body

Aarma 1/10 Granite rc truck

This is an awesome truck. It is the first one I have ever used and is a lot of fun. I am 73 and bought it so I can use it when my son and grandson use theirs. It is very durable and takes a beating and keeps on going. I highly recommend this truck for anyone to have fun with.

Some good, some bad...

I am updating my original review based upon the company's response to some issues. This truck was purchased as a Christmas gift for my brother. When he opened it on Christmas, I realized I had ordered the wrong batteries so we had to wait until Dec. 31 for adapters and a new charger to arrive. The BAD points: * Issue 1: Right out of the box, the truck would not run in reverse. I had purchased the extended warranty and contacted them, but they said this was covered under manufacturer's warranty. After 10 back-and-forth emails, Horizon Hobby sent out a replacement motor, but it was the wrong motor. They sent a second motor, but again it was the wrong motor. They sent out a third motor which was the correct one. * Issue 2: We took the truck into an RC shop and they said the problem was the ESC, not the motor. Contacted Horizon and they sent us a new ESC. * Issue 3: One of the tires completely burst apart with less than a total run time (going in forward only) of 3 hours. Again contacted Horizon and they sent a set of two replacement tires. * Issue 4: There are only two ways to reach customer service. One is via email. The second is through virtual assistant on the website. For individuals like myself who prefer speaking to someone, this is very inconvenient and frustrating. Every question/response has to be sent, then wait time for a response. Granted, the company was good about getting back in a timely manner. But, when you speak directly to someone, you can immediate response without having to wait and constantly be checking email. The GOOD points: * Point 1: This truck is FAST! It was fast when we ran it on the 2S LiPo...but on the 3S LiPo, it was out-of-this-world fast! It is definitely NOT for beginners and I would not recommend it for children. * Point 2: The truck is large for a 1:10 scale, which we really like. The tires extend beyond the truck so there is minimal rubbing against the body as the tires inflate. * Point 3: We are using the truck more for speed and racing. However, we have tried a couple jumps. The truck gets decent height when jumping. * Point 4: Replacement parts were sent out with VERY quick delivery, usually a 2 - 3 day turnaround. Everything was sent FedEx with tracking. RC vehicle preference is based on each individual's wants and needs. For my brother, if the truck keeps running, the ARRMA Granite is perfect. I am a bit concerned about the durability since there have already been a number of issues, but now that everything is running correctly, time will tell.

It really goes 50+ MPH

I watched a lot of videos of this truck, then I got mine today. I've learned that videos can not convey just how fast this thing really is. (I'm using 5000Mah 3s 50c Spektrum G2's) The first time I tried to open it up in the street in front of my house, I cartwheeled it for about 20'. It landed on it's wheel and I just kept going, no damage at all. I immediately shut it down and headed for a park with wide open spaces. Pros: It's insanely fast and powerfull and very tough, just like the box says. It's super easy to work on and it's really good looking. Cons: EDIT - With the throttle limiter on the throttle was super laggy. After I went through the throttle setup in the included instruction, this was cured. You must pull the axle shafts off the wheel spindles and loc-tite the screws or the wheels will fall off. The binding plug was not included. (I'm going to contact Arrma about that and see if they'll send me one) EDIT: I went to the Arrma website, filled out the contact form, told them the truck didn't come with the binding plug it should have, Horizon Hobby replied and is going to send it to me ;) The included documentation doesn't tell you how to set the steering servo endpoints. (Go download the radio manual from Spektrum for that info) I would not call this a beginner R/C. It requires a lot of maintanence and it's extremly powerful. Read the Safety Information at the bottom of the product page. They are not joking. You could break someones leg if you ran into them with this truck. All that said, I love it and look forward to many hours of enjoyment. This is my second Arrma purchase in a month. I just got back into R/C and bought an Arrma Granite Voltage to check out the brand. I was so pleased with it I bought this truck for me and gave the Voltage to my Grandson so we can bash together.

Needs full inspection and mods out of the box

This is not a entry level rc and not a kids toy.i got the arrma because as compared to a stampede it's easier to work on. the whole drivetrain needs inspection and minor mods.half shaft set screws need loctite the diffs need filled.i noticed the input shaft had slight wear and alittle metal shavings,assuming they tested it,if you were to run the truck out of the box you would destroy it.the diffs would strip and that input shaft would as well.this is not a ready to run truck in anyway shape or form

Super Fun and Fast

This unit is spot on! However it is super fast and can be damaged not if, but when you crash it! I have beaten this thing up pretty good, and it keeps on going. Very durable construction and there are parts available for repair when needed. Super impressed with the battery life as I’m sure you’ll get close to an hour on the charge. Fairly easy to control other than the reaction time at the high speeds. Crazy fun! Wasn’t sure about spending this kind of money on a toy, but found this is well worth it. Very powerful four-wheel-drive seems to go through everything I’ve thrown at it so far.

Fast!!! Awesome truck

Gave my daughter my older smaller truck. So bought this to spend time with her. This thing is a beast. Running 3s lipos. The 3 speed modes are a great feature. I can turn it down and my daughter can run it. Upgraded steer servo Way more responsive. Likes to roll in turns. So widened stance with typon A arms. After lots of bashing. Body is completely smashed. Will do spoiler upgrade before putting new body on. Only part that broke was the front hub so far Only $5 part. Am considering buying another one This winter put proline paddle tires on. It flys across the snow!!

Great truck for a great price

This truck is unbelievable. Fast, sturdy, and backflips for days. Google a few free or cheap mods to make the long term reliability last.

Good for the price

Great basher for the price. Only concern was one rear driveshaft kept popping the u-joint but I bought the gpm steel shafts and has been rock solid ever since. It absolutely flies on 3s lipo so be careful doing speed runs it'll get away from you quick!
