Best rice cooker I have ever owned!
I owned a lot of rice cookers since I am Asian and cook rice everyday! I had expensive one, cheap one, but this one is the best so far. Not only Cooking rice I also make porridge like the one in the picture! No over flow, easy to clean and not sticky bottom and you can enjoy every grain you cooked! I got the 5 cups one for family of two!!!

value +
First off outstanding value: makes exceptional rice. couple things: First, has delayed start response, it's just odd. plugged in, no visual clues it's on, open lid / close lid, touch buttons, hover over buttons, no response, this goes on for awhile, even after getting use to this quirk, but it's less than 30 seconds, probably more like 15 or 20, but just odd, than magically it comes to life, just weird, especially since there is no indication it's functioning. Second thing, the warm function is not optional. That is an issue because it starts to scorch the rice. So, rather than toss it in the river, pull the inner pot out once it's done, put on an oven mitt or whatever and lid it, it will keep warm by itself for quite awhile. So, beyond those two issues it is / makes the most perfect rice. Has great features, removable lid, extremely heavy duty cooking pot.

Its OK
This rice cooker gets a reasonable OK from me. The quality just is not up there with some of the high premium rice cookers you can buy. Its easy to use, does a good job cookiing, just has some lack luster tiny problems. The biggest problem that i have is overcooking and drying out the rice. So when it first cooks the rice, it normally does an amazing job of it. The rice is perfectly cooked and is nice and hot. The main problem seems to come from the keep warm feature. Very rapidly after its done cooking the rice begins to dry out. After about an hour, it will start to harden on the sides touching the pan. To combat this i can easily stir the rice and ad a bit of water to it. But it becomes a very big problem if your cooking for yourself to have rice throughout the day. And finally, ive had a very mixed bag when trying to use the other features. Using it as a soup cooker and slow cooker just doesnt seem to work out to well. In the end as just a way of making rice, its great. But its not as good as premium rice cookers, and its attempt to do other features like soup and slow cooking just doesnt work all that well unless you manipulate it to get it to work the way you want. Depending on your situation, i would suggest a more premium one, or just a slow cooker instead.

not so sure anymore...
UPDATE: I've had this item for 5 months now and it definitely has it's issues. Currently I cannot use it and in the past, whenever I would cook something for a long time, the liquid would accumulate on the outer ridge right next to where the pot lays and a little bit would leak into the sides. I always cleaned the whole unit after every cooked meal. Then the very last time I cooked meat that called for liquid, it boiled over inside while covered and the liquid and probably tiny meat particles got into the heating element underneath causing a burning odor. I turned the machine off as soon as I realized this but the damage was already done. I then cleaned the unit inside out as best as I could even using a clean rag and my finger to try to pry out any pieces of debris and I did get burned particles from under the heating element but that area cannot come apart. I think there is still debris stuck under there because I tried to use it twice after that incident and it ends up smelling like something is burning. So I'm pretty much done with this unit. I am going to have to buy another slow/rice cooker but I'll look for something else that's easier to clean. I like this slow cooker/rice cooker. its easy to cook in it, just follow the instructions for the different settings. if you want to cook different kinds of food just look up some simple recipes for slow cookers and adjust it to serve your needs. so far i haven't been disappointed with the rice (although I could have used a bit more water, rice was a tad firm) easily remedied by adding a 1/2 cup and letting it cook longer; and/or other foods like baby back ribs, mac and cheese, white rice, chicken, etc. I made 4 cups of rice and that fed 4 people and there was still rice left over so it definitely cooks enough but i still wish it was a little bigger in order to cook larger quantities for family get-togethers, lol. it fits on my kitchen counter, it doesn't take up much room. the silver part around the cooker gets warm, not really hot BUT be careful around children, do not leave this on the edge where they can get to it because this also lets out a fair amount of steam on STS(saute to simmer) and the top latch doesn't take much effort to open at all. At that point it lets out steam and scalding hot water drops from the inside.

Why did I wait so long?
I've had this for about a week and so far it's great. So many other reviewers have already said so much about the extras it comes with so I won't go into it except to say I wish all appliances came with detachable cords. The machine looks great and is user friendly. I have no issues with cleaning it. The instruction book is your friend, read it. So far I've only made steel cut oats and basmati rice. I haven't tried the brown rice option to do oats overnight yet like one reviewer mentioned, but it took about 30 minutes one Friday morning and we had the best steel cut oats ever. I mixed mine with half water, half milk. The rice I made last night was perfect. My microwave rice cooker always made it crunchy or too sticky. After 35 minutes it switched to keep warm, I just stirred it and let it go for about another 20 minutes till everything else was ready and it was great. Update I still love my rice cookerand use it at least once a week. I have made great brown rice in it. It takes an hr + to cook so plan accordingly.

Water drips off the back
It's a good appliance, overall, but when I open the lid, water runs down the back of the machine onto the countertop. I believe other models have a compartment for capturing that runoff but not this one.

Wonderful
Easy to use, easy to clean & does what it's supposed to do, right out of the box. A small learning curve, but we're good!
