Beware. Not canvas material.
Giving this stars, because my son loved it. However, it is not canvas on the outer shell, and there is no canvas involved. It’s so light weight that I didn’t think it would be warm, but he says it is and really likes it. Versatile as it’s dressier than a “work” vest. But if you need some thing that is canvas, and it won’t rip, this won’t be the best choice.

My go-to jacket.
I wear it over my thermal shirts, I wear it over my hoodie, I wear it under my coat. Unless it's warm enough for shorts and a t-shirt I wear it every which way. I like everything about the jacket it's a good quality material, the inside lining is good, I have had this jacket for over 2 years now and have had no problems putting it in the washing machine, Like some other jacket's. I like the jacket have had no problems with the jacket. Even has all the right pockets. And I'm a real stickler for quality. My one complaint about the jacket though is this. With the brand name of Ariat, and the price that I paid for the jacket. There should be no flaws in the stitching and this jacket had a few flaws in the stitching, two spots where the stitchings didn't come together evenly, and two spots where the doubled stitch was not alined correctly, and more than a few stitches that needed trimmed up so yeah. So yeah like everything about the jacket, but the bad stitching in spots. If it was a cheaper jacket I probably wouldn't say anything but yeah since it is Ariat, kind of have to. I just kind of expect a little bit better, because of the the brands reputation to quality, and for the money they charged me.

Nice vest
This vest feels comfortable, durable and has plenty of pockets to use when outdoors working, the conceal carry pocket is a nice addition, I carry a single stack m&p performance center 9 most of the time and had no issues with bouncing, lining or sag in the breast pocket. Seems like the right thickness for northern fall/early winter weather. I believe most of the negative reviews on here are from people trying to “look Yellowstone” if you’re looking for a good work vest that holds up in weather and does what it’s suppose to then here you go.

Excellent fit and very high quality. Just what you expect from ARIAT.
Premium Product. Nice materials throughout the vest. Pocket closures keep stuff from falling out. Fit is snug for 2XL. I usually wear XL but had to buy 2XL in this item. Advertised as a "concealed carry" vest and does have a zippered pocket with provision for carrying and retaining a small semi-auto handgun or a revolver. I would not want to try to carry a medium or large handgun in that pocket, the vest would look like you had a boulder in the pocket. I tried to carry my M&P Shield and it seemed awkward to me. But for a small 380 or 9mm it would be fine. That was not my primary reason to buy this, just my opinion on the Concealed Carry pocket. Overall a great value, I am very pleased.

Fits well and is comfortable.
Love the vest and fits perfectly. Haven’t worn it yet but seems very warm as I wanted. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the zipper pull tab is on the left side, which is normally the opposite side for a men’s vest; so at first my husband thought it was a woman’s vest.

Falsely Named
Nothing Grizzly about this vest! The description implies that the sherpa fleece is throughout the vest but, it only lines the collar. The canvas used is very thin and would never stand up to regular outdoors use. The insulation also is very thin making this a lightweight vest that truly doesn't deserve a Grizzly handle :/ The inside pocket is quite large (only on the left side!) but the holster is placed too high leading to significant printing, especially because of the thin insulation and canvas used. I carry a subcompact P365 so anything larger would be much worse. Other companies use hook & loop backing so that the holster placement is adjustable. Not so here. Luckily, I also ordered another vest by the same company, the Crius Insulated which is a night & day difference in quality and, it's $10 cheaper! Made of a tougher Polyester in a beautiful heathered gray color, containing 2-3 times as much insulation. This vest looks better, is much warmer and, the heavier insulation significantly reduces printing. Otherwise, the inner pocket and holster is the same in both vests. But, with the Crius, I can just let the pistol rest at the bottom of the pocket which eliminates all printing, again because of the greater insulation padding. This one was definitely a keeper while the Grizzly was a really easy return, thanks to Amazon. I'm not knocking Ariat here, they make great clothing. Just pointing out the stark differences between 2 vests from the same company. I do have to fault Ariat for touting these specifically for concealed carry since that feature isn't well implemented and, there are far better options for that purpose from other companies.
