Not perfect but close.

This box only comes with 2 keys and you cannot get them remade or recut at a local hardware store. no one has the blanks. I didnt see it but this model does not come with a flag for mail pickup. I just took the old flag off the old box ... drilled a couple holes and pop rivited it on. Its fairly weather resistant to rain and snow but... condensation does build up in it.. its not weather proof and your mail will become damp if you dont get it daily.

Great box except mail gets wet inside

We have had this box for years. One at home and one at our business. Both boxes the mail inside becomes wet with every rain. I have sealed holes with caulking and still cannot stop the rain from leaking in. I think it comes in around where either the mail drops in or around the hinges.

Great value but lock sticks

Found this at a fraction of the original price and very satisfied although the lock sticks and needs constant lubrication but I don’t consider that as a fault of the mailbox in general and can be replaced easily

NOT A LOCKING MAIL BOX!

This is NOT a " Locking Mail Box!. As a locking "Drop Box" it met some of my expectations. But, it failed as a "mail box". It does not have a red flag that you can raise to indicate outgoing mail! Nor does it have a provision for outgoing mail to be deposited. When you deposit outgoing mail, it merely drops into the locked box reserved for incoming mail!. I defeated this by buying, and installing a red flag, and a magnetic clip to hold outgoing mail in the upper chamber to be picked up, but as a "mail box" it failed completely! After paying over $300.00 for a "locking mail box" all I got was a "locking "drop box" for incoming mail only. Amazon failed to produce what it advertised! A LOCKING MAIL BOX.

Slight wider than most mail boxes. Allow most magazines to be inserted parallel to opening.

About 2" wider than most to accommodate large magazines. Only negative is the need to fumble with the key to getting it inserted.

Flawed in every way

This box is heavy and won't survive the trip well. The metal on the outside is strong but the welds are bad and I can see it is easy to compromise this unit. Mine was not usable but some defects were very apparent. It also lacks a flag and as most stated no keys either. The gap allows anyone to stick their arm in anyway. I can also see why leaks are an issue as there is no seals between any of the seams. If you do manage to get one in good shape you will have to seal it without a doubt. Let me also clarify that although most of the box uses welded studs and nuts to hold it together, the main part where the latch locks is just a tacky weld. A screwdriver could easily break it. It's that bad overall. I say pass on this headache sadly.

Good news and bad news... First the good news. The mailbox works great in our rural location where theft was becoming a problem. Lots of room and the postal carrier gladly took a key for oversize items (medications and Amazon packages) that wouldn’t go down the chute. Sturdy. Looks great. Neighbors are purchasing the same model in droves. So now the bad news. Son-in-Law... purchased the same box with a steel post for their Christmas present. Still sitting in their garage. Insists he needs an excavation permit to dig the hole for the mailbox (same place as the old box). I even offered to dig the hole myself. Oh well, we have great grandkids...

As advertised

No issues. The unit arrived on time. It is as advertised and expected. Works fine. I'd recommend to anyone needing and industrial size, locking mailbox. Note; there is no outgoing mail shelf in this unit which would make it much better if you have regular outgoing mail to be picked up. For incoming mail security, it's very good.

A really big box for mail

Its so big! And quite heavy. But if you want a large parcel receiving mailbox, this is it.
