Nice mailbox

Gave it 4 stars because the metal could have need heavier. It looks very sharp. I am wonder if it will stay nice looking or if it will discolor with time.

A little small but nice finish.

I’m very happy with this. It’s a little on the thin side with the metal but the finish is very nice and matches the satin nickel door hardware. It’s not very deep so magazines and such will stick out. It’s wider in the opening than the bottom so it’s easy to get in there with my big hand which I appreciate. The space on the front is perfect for affixing numbers. No more than 4 inches high however. One small thing- the number area faces down a bit so if your porch light is illuminating light from above you can’t see the numbers- they are in darkness. Overall I’m happy with it!

Cheaply made, not sturdy

The metal on this is very thin and flimsy. It's not as high quality as I would've hoped. There isn't anything to cushion the top as it sits onto the bottom, so it just rattles/rings as it sits. That said, it matches the colors of our house numbers and light, so that's good enough.

I can't really say much more, I've only had it for a few months and so far it has done it's job! It went well with my light, doorbell and door handles.

Well-made and rust proof

As another reviewer mentioned, this is made of thin steel and has a tinny feeling. Fortunately, because it is made of stainless steel, even though it is thin, this is not easy to bend or deform. Keeping the steel thin means keeping it lightweight. Since this is designed to be hung off a wall, being lightweight is a good thing. I do, however, disagree with that other reviewer when they said it's not going to last forever. This replaced an old plastic mailbox that was hung over 40 years ago ( I put it there, so I know). Considering this is far better built, I expect at least 60 years of service. I've been involved in the manufacturing of stainless items, this is well built, and unless it gets vandalized, there is no reason for it to break. The hinge rod is also stainless, so there is no chance of rust. It does look good. It has nice clean lines and doesn't look gaudy in any way when I put this up; it did not detract from the overall appearance of the house. Mounting options are limited, but with a little mechanical skill, it can be mounted on a wall or railings if needed. The only item I was disappointed in was that there were no drain holes in the bottom. There should be no way for rain to get into it, but it somehow happens. I needed to drill three holes into the bottom towards the back, so water now could not collect.

You Get What You Pay For…

It’s thin and tinny feeling. Noisy when you close it. But no sharp edges that I’ve noticed. We installed it in an uncovered area in October and the finish still looks good. We live in Canada and the weather is harsh sometimes. The only reason I didn’t give this 5 stars is because the hinge pin has popped out twice in 3 months. Both times my husband found it on the ground and has been able to fix it. In the summer he’ll need to find something else to rig it better. Other than that it’s been decent. Let’s face it this is an entry level non-locking kind of mailbox. We paid about $70 bucks for it… not cheap but not a $350 box either… If you don’t want to break the bank but want something stainless steel looking this is your guy/gal. But don’t expect it to last forever. We’ll see what it’s like at the end of this winter… so far no rust though! December 2022 - Update I’m increasing my rating from 3 to 4 stars. Although the hinges are a pain in the you know what… we are in our 2nd winter with this box and no rust! It’s performing well in an unprotected area. It also keeps the mail dry (if our post lady closes the lid). So I guess it’s pretty good value for the money.

Awesome look!!

Absolutely love the colour! We were trying to match the hardware of our upcoming new door. Perfect match. Brushed nickel I would say. Looks very sturdy and I imagine the durability will be good since it’s stainless steel plus we mounted it under an eaves as recommended!
