Vert Sturdy and Well Designed! (Updated)
This is a very solid and well made door top hanger! Sharp looking to. It's all metal and very strong. I can hang any of my jean's, full length robe, sweatshirts, anything, and everything. I can hang heavy cloths, robes, and jackets from all 6 hooks, and all at the same time, with no problems. It's paint job is well done, and what I Really like about this particular one, is the rounded button type ends, on all 6 of the thick wire hangers. This is a smaller hanger, at about 9 inches wide, and hangs down about 10 inches from the top of the door, it's about 4 inches deep to, if you need this to go behind something. Amerock is a well known company, with good quality products, I've used a lot of there products with custom cabinetry. This is another reason why I choose this hanger over some others. Update 11/5/14: I just got a second one because these are only 3 hangers wide (about 9 inches), though each one does have 6 hangers (both upper and lower), so I put 2 side by side, and it looks just fine, and doubles my hanging area, on my closet door. So I use it to hang 2 robes, 1 pair of jeans, 1 pair of jean shorts, 1 pair of sweat pants, 1 pair of elastic, (workout), shorts, 1 sweatshirt, and 1 T-shirt. I'm gonna get a few more for the bathrooms, and 2 more closets. Great product at a great price. Very nice design!

I'm Hooked!
These are great! I ended up buying multiple ones. They're strong, they have nice fat "heads," they're well spaced, and they fit on my half-sized closet doors. I'd say they're about a foot wide, which matches the listed specs. I use them for hanging old gym clothes, and the spacing on them allows me to hang lots of things (gloves, socks, jerseys, shorts, etc...) without everything overlapping too much that they don't dry. These are definitely sturdy, and will hold pretty much any clothing item that I can think of. The over-the-door part is plenty wide for any average door. My doors are bit skinny, but the hooks are deep enough that I don't have to worry about it sliding or bouncing off the door.

does the job well
This over door hanger does the job well enough. I'm in a dorm room and my closet doors were made stupidly thin, so the over the door hook is too wide. However, the hook part is long enough that I haven't had any problems with it coming off yet, even though it's too loose. It has a very nice finish, not overly shiny, and it definitely does what I need it to do. My only complaint is that the description should include how wide the hooks are, so I would have known that it wouldn't be a fit for my door.

Functional and looks nice
Bought this based on reviews of the fit. The door we installed it on has very little clearance between the top of the door and the trim. The metal bracket at the top is only about 1/16" think which was ideal for our situation. The bracket accommodates doors up to 1 3/4" thick and our door is only 1 1/2" thick. I shimmed the bracket to keep it from hanging crooked or moving around. Tried forever to find a thin metal bracket that was only 1 1/2" wide but this is the best I could find. Overall it solved our specific dilemma with some tweaking, and looks sharp in the bathroom.

Good option for robes and towels
This over the door hook is sturdy and accommodates 3 robes or towels easily. It is an oil-rubbed bronze color and matched the other accessories in my bathroom of the same color well. It would be a 5 star product if it fit over the door just a little better. We had to utilize the screw holes on the top to secure it to the door. Otherwise, it would bang against the door when we opened and closed the door.
