A very good value
Many polo style shirts are made with incredibly thin material that make them hang like a golf shirt. This shirt wears more like an actual polo. The cloth is thicker and the fit is more like an actual polo. While not as good as an actual Polo, this tough to beat for the price.

Runs big but love the shirt
Runs big, I ordered the 3x Big and Tall. The 3x was too big and the Tall was too long. I sent exchanged it for the 2X Big (Not Tall) and it was perfect. FINALLY found my old cotton Polo shirt that I have always worn and loved. All the new thin clingy material they use on all the new shirts is awful and is very unbecoming when you wear it. I only buy this type of shirt but have been unable to find them. I have ordered 6 more of these shirts!

Good fabric!
Perfect fit. Great fabric. Does not look cheap. Only reason I gave 4 stars was because this shirt isn’t really pink, as the picture shows. It’s more a faded salmon color.

An Extinct Breed - Get before they are gone
In my day polos used to be soft thick 100 % cotton with generous sleeves covering the upper arm till above the elbows and collars standing high and grand and covering the back of the neck till below the hairline. They had substantial structure/body (shape that held) and ultra comfortable soft cotton. This was my go to piece of clothing to step out in (as opposed to round neck collarless T-Shirts that I wore only at home or for sporting activities). However, this simple good thing was not to be taken for granted. As time went by, I watched in horror this simple evergreen staple slowly vanish - being replaced by plastic, toxic, carcinogenic trash (synthetic, polyester, 'performance', 'hi-tech') being passed as clothing riding solely on deceptive/misleading/convincing marketing and rapidly transient 'fast fashion trends'. These pieces of junk being passed as 'performance polos'/'hi-tech' had no 'body', clung to your skin like plastic, caused my sensitive skin to itch, with arms so short as if there was shortage of clothing material in the world and were of such thin cheap uncomfortable material that I would wonder how in the world do people put these on their bodies. The 'trend' continued ... Fast forward to the present day, finding the 'cotton polo of my youth' is like finding a dinosaur. The polo I grew up with is practically extinct - replaced by trash made with ever cheaper feeling and more toxic materials. Its a win win for the corporates/brands - cheap synthetic lab created materials astronomically marked up (riding on advertisement) - filling the corporate pockets unlike never before and successfully 're-programming' the minds and purchasing behavior of the new generation to accept, get used to, and even get addicted to such toxic 'hi-tech' trash. As for the manufacturing ? No problem - hire some MBA's (with zero knowledge/passion for good quality textile/garment manufacturing) - their sole purpose to be 'maximizing profits' for the next 'earnings report' and they would find the 'cheapest' offshore factory to outsource the manufacturing to. This being a continuous process - if you get a cheaper bid from another factory, just switch to it. No wonder you can never get consistent material, sizing, quality for the exact same product purchased even months apart. Not just that - even brands that sold fantastic quality 100 % cotton polos at a very reasonable price like Tommy Hilfiger etc went STEEP DOWNHILL. A Tommy Hilfiger polo being sold today is NOWHERE NEAR anything like the quality they had even a few years ago (even though still being theoritically 100 % cotton, the quality (material, cut) now is absolutely junk - in fact they went from being my favorite Polo Shirts (thick, soft, cloud like cotton with generous neck and sleeves and amazing body, texture and shape and in high quality colors and finish) to absolutely shockingly unwearable pieces of garbage (thin, rough, itchy cotton with skimpy sleeves and flat collars and dull cheap finsih and colors with NO lusture, body whatsoever). I always wish I had seen this day come. I would have stocked up on a lifetim's supply of 'real' clothing when they were still available. Given the above, I am extremely surprised (pleasantly) by this Amazon Essentials Cotton Polo. This is 100 % cotton, has generous non-skimpy sleeves and has decent material and shape reminiscent of the 100 % cotton polo I am habituated to from my time. Quality of material wise - it is about 65% - 70% of the cotton polos of yesteryears - BUT - even THAT - is like finding diamond (or a dinosaur) in these abhorrent-clothing-times for the 100 % cotton polo lover. Get this before the 'real cotton polo' is gone for good. I think I may be getting a few.

The sizing has changed
The Amazon Essentials shirt I got was much bigger than the 2X version I bought 2 yrs ago--more like 3X.

Massive shirts
These shirts are ok. I bought 3 of varying patterns and colours. Seem to be good quality. Good stitching and the buttons are on tight. They wash well and (unfortunately) don't shrink in the wash. The one big flaw is that they are simply huge. This is not helped by the confusing mess that is supplied by amazon in size selection. They are way way beyond the given size. They are probably two sizes too big on me (nominally I am a XXL). It's just about wearable. I am in the middle of losing a bit of weight so I'll be lucky to see them last till the end of the summer before they swamp me. Vote up if that's helpful!

Twice the size they are supposed to be
Terrible it’s massive clearly ordered a large cake with large on label but easily 4 inches wider than a normal large shirt avoid these polos ... if I wanted a shirt this big I’d have ordered tent

Large for its size
I don't like this very much. The advice was to buy a size down, which I did, and it's still arguably a bit on the large side. The collar hangs unattractively too, somehow. It's like a supermarket garment. Not very stylish or fitted. And the colour is way off what the photo shows. It's much more green in real life. Adequate but disappointing.

Excellent value polo - good shape
Bought these when my usual size of XL turned out to be too large for me. As per the reviews on the XL I opted to drop down a size to the Ls and I'm pleased I did. For me, These polos are good. fabric is soft and they have a good shape. Nice fit on the shoulders, good drop length. I'm 6'2" and about 14 and a bit stone. I'm very happy with the purchase. Can't comment on how they wash yet - but for the price I'm certainly not going to complain. a good buy, so much so I've bought 8 of them.

large baggy xl
I bought 3 and the fit is much larger and baggy especially the armpits than other xl brands I have, even after washing and I'm not skinny . But as they are reasonable price and otherwise well made and cotton I will keep them for general use in the house and garden. I would recommended buy a size smaller...
