Small dream come true.

I have for over 20 yrs wanted a jacket just like this. I got exactly what I always wanted. I was a bit worried about the size. I'm not a big guy, so I was worried it would be big in the stomach area or possibly the sleeves would be to short or long. To my surprise I found the fit to be perfect, absolutely perfect. This jacket is very warm. Which is very important to me. It seems to be very well made. I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if this jacket lasts me for years and years to come. Its hard to believe I got this at such a great price. My only wish is I found this years ago. You won't be disappointed in any way.

Slightly Big

I'm 5'8 and 170-175 with a muscular build and a medium was a bit big unless I wore a lot of layers underneath. Just for your consideration if you like a more tailored fit

My husband loved it!

Got this for my husband for Christmas. He wanted a real one like what is worn in the Navy. However I was not prepared to pay $300‐$400 for a coat. Saw this and decided to get it because it was 65% wool and looked very close to the real deal. Needless to say he loves it! He loves how warm it keeps him too ( because its mostly wool). Im happy because he is happy. I definitely recommend if your looking for a similar look that doesn't break the bank.

Exceeded my expectations!

After searching for a pea coat that is well designed, constructed, and reasonably priced, I was disappointed by a well-known brand name and immediately returned it. I reluctantly ordered from Amazon Basics because I was concerned about the quality. I had no reason to be concerned. This one is so much better than the brand name I tried first. The Amazon Basics coat is warm, fits very well, it designed great and seems to be quality made. It's perfect for what I wanted!

I found this coat after many purchases and returns as I was looking for a simple peacoat without ridiculous badges, added unnecessary coloured material or even far too many buttons! This coat is exactly what I’ve been looking for! It’s fits perfect, looks good and didn’t cost the earth like some of the peacoats I returned. Simple design and button cuffs finishes this jacket perfect. Fits well with or without thick winter jumper.

"BARGAIN OF THE YEAR!"

I am very pleased with this jacket (size 'L' / colour: black). I have a 43" chest, 36" waist, 25" sleeve; and am six feet (183 cm) tall. This size fits me well - I can wear a large sweater or hoodie under it, ok; though, a jacket is tighter, but manageable. The length of sleeves is ok, too; maybe slightly short on me, when I reach out (e.g. to a 'steering-wheel'); but when out walking or 'standing, talking, it is just fine. It is not quite as heavy as the heaviest pea jackets; but, thankfully, does not have the 'GI Joe' shoulder pads, of some; and with a sweater underneath "Bring on (UK) Winter". When viewed 'close up', one can tell it was not made in 'Savile Row'; but beyond that, it looks as good as some pea jackets costing two or three times as much. Finally, I paid 40% more than the current deal; and thought I was getting a bargain then... Btw, Amazon Prime 'Try Before You Buy' rocks - I had sizes 'M' and 'L' delivered (jic); and returned the M.

Very nice Pea Jacket! At a great price!

Lovely quality Pea jacket, very nice length and fit, I got the L size for a 42 inch chest and it's fine, room for a thick pullover underneath, nice and warm for Winter. Has a nice quality feel, lovely Navy Blue colour, comfortable, good fit and great value for money.

Good Coat

I had already bought one of these jackets as this one was originally out of stock. I bought this one with a view to keeping the best one of the two as this one became available again. This is a well made coat. I like the style and fit (these coats all have space to wear a thick jumper underneath, but I am a 16 stone and lift weights - hence XL). The material is nice and I wanted black. I'm keeping both jackets. This one is well made and a lighter material (still substantial). The other very heavy but still comfortable (the one I'd like to be wearing in a snowdrift). I'm sure they will both get worn. Both together still cheaper than the (also high quality, but navy) jacket from a high street store (two words, first beginning with M & the other S).

Excellent value, stylish pea coat

Initial thoughts are very positive. A comfortable, nicely fitting and warm coat which is excellent value for money. Time will tell how it wears and lasts when encountering all sorts of weather. In relation to size, I think the guide online is accurate, and would tend to agree with others about going down a size from their 'normal' measurements. I tend to fit XXL for jackets, coats, polo shirts and shirts but went XL here - it's spot on as you don't want something that hangs off you. I am 6ft 1 in, with a 48 in chest and a waist of 38 in - generally a broad build. If you are around these measurements I would say XL is for you. Ideally wouldn't have gone for the cross-cuff style on the sleeves but the overall feel and quality of the coat compensates for it. The length of the coat is just about spot-on too, fitting almost like suit length. Would highly recommend.
