Fits, wears and looks great

I have been a huge fan of Columbia convertible pants for years and only came across these pants while looking for a replacement for one of my Columbia pants that had a zipper break render them useless. VALUE First off, the price on these is a great value for what you get. At normal prices, without any promotions, coupons, etc., these are about 60% of the price of Columbia's version of this type of pants/shorts. I might argue that even if these wear out faster, they're still a great value for the price, though I have not had mine long enough to comment much on their durability. MATERIAL The material on these is very different from the Columbia pants I am comparing these two, in both good and bad ways. PRO: much nicer looking and feeling and comes out of the dryer wrinkle free. CON: Doesn't dry as fast when I get them really wet. Overall, I love these pants. I bought my second pair very shortly after I wore the first pair because I liked them so much and so far (only a couple of months into owning them) I find them to be a GREAT pair of pants and shorts, in one, and I LOVE the convertible aspect of them.

Good value

I've worn convertible cargo pants for years. These are comfortable. My reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the pockets should be deeper. This applies to the front and cargo pockets, as well. I also think the cargo pockets should be a bit higher on the leg. For the price, though, these are a good value. I've found that other things in the Amazon Essentials list have been very decent products.

Good quality / Poor design

These hiking pants look like they are of good quality. However, poorly designed. The left front zippered cargo pocket cannot even take a 4-1/2 inch cell phone. The angled cut severely limits lengthwise what can be put in it. The front right cargo pocket does not quite take my 6-1/4 inch length Samsung A52 cell phone. If I pull the flap down hard, it barely can get enough velcro to close. So it has no pocket to take my cell phone. Material craftsmanship seems good. Rear pockets have long flaps with velcro. Would be better if rear wallet pocket was a zippered pocket. Rock scrambling down you slide on rear often which can pull velcro open and you can lose your wallet.

Great Safari pants

Bought these for our trip to Africa these are so rad they are pants and they can be shorts too so we leave for our safari in the am when it is a little chilly out by afternoon it is hot unzip and now you have shorts they were perfect for Africa they definitely not stylish but I did not buy for that reason I bought like 20 of these in different colors and they worked perfect for our trip

Affordable Hiking Attire

I typically hike 800-1000 miles per year and these pants have never let me down. They are washed after every hike and are still as good as new. Excellent price makes them the perfect gear for hiking.

International trip

The weather where I am going is 50-60 so these pants/shorts are perfect for comfort & recreation. The price and fit are also good.

Great budget hiking pants!

Good color, pretty comfortable too! Not exactly fashion forward, but for $22 I can’t complain one bit. Definitely holds up to the brush, took it backpacking in the Appalachians on a 5-day trip and wore them 3 days in a row. Wore them scrambling boulders, doing a ropes course and in knee-deep creek crossing and they held up just fine. I went all fours at many points on the trip, and fell a couple of times; they didn’t rip or have fault points, and all the dirt came out easily. The material is really thin and light, so it dries super quick, but it’s also not the most durable stuff in the world. I would agree with other reviewers that the pockets aren’t really deep, you’d be better off carrying a daypack if you need to carry a bunch of extra stuff. So if you need backup pants for a long trip or a cheap option for a quick weekend trip, these can’t be beat for the price!

Non adatti al trekking

Come scritto anche in altre recensioni, il tessuto di questi pantaloni è piuttosto spesso e non traspirante. La cosa peggiore però sono le cerniere per trasformarli in shorts: a differenze di altre marche, non hanno una striscia in tessuto dal lato interno, per questo le zip sfregano sulle cosce mentre si cammina, dando molto fastidio. Assolutamente inadatti da usare in un'escursione, li ho tenuti come pantaloni per i lavori in giardino.

Vestibilità leggermente ampia

Secondo la tabella taglie avrei dovuto prendere una 32/30 per mio figlio, ma attirati da un prezzo più basso relativo alla taglia sotto abbiamo tentato e ci è andata bene, anzi, in vita leggermente largo lo stesso, per cui direi che ha una vestibilità morbida, soprattutto sulle gambe che hanno una linea dritta, a tubo, ma per il servizio che devono fare sono ottimi, soprattutto per la possibilità di convertirli in pantaloncino corto. Consigliati!
