Super sweet robe

I'm officially an old man with the purchase of this robe. It was advertised as lightweight with a comfy, sturdy construction and they were not wrong. I absolutely love it! It had a peculiar smell when opened... not bad just weird, newish smell. I popped the bad boy in the washer and dryer on gentle and it was good to go. I def recommend for casual around the house use.

Good summer robe

This is a good cheaper summer robe. Very soft fabric. A bit heavier and slightly larger than expected. First thing I did was cut off a lot tag that was attached with a small nylon string. Then I cut off two fabric belts that were INSIDE the robe and seemed to serve no purpose. The robe almost touches the floor and the sleeves were approximately the right length. The robe was brand new rather than a return.

The Perfect Robe!

I bought this robe to include in a 40th birthday gift basket for my husband. We live in Arizona so the thicker/plush robes would've been way too hot. This robe was perfect! The waffle weave is very comfortable, not too hot, and fairly absorbent for shower time (it feels similar to a Turkish cotton towel). I fell in love with it and bought myself one too (I liked his more than any of the options for women's robes).

Fits a bit oversized but that's a good thing

It's the perfect thickness to be lightweight but not see through. I like the texture and it's soft. Good length and size too. It's definitely big enough to slip into after a shower or over clothes without any annoyance.

Light weight and comfortable

So just as described. My only issue is that the sleeves are just a bit short, not too short to worry about and the tie belt for me, sits a bit high and crosses at my belly, not the waist. I'm 6'2".

Does it’s job

I wanted a lightweight roomy bedroom robe and purchased this one. It’s nice. The arms maybe a bit too roomy! The pockets are a good size but a bit lower than expected. Nice material. Overall I’m very pleased with it.

Lightweight and fits well

Bought this as an Easter gift for my son and he loves it. He wears it all the time now, like he is trying to be a casual Hugh Heffner. I just wanted him to stop dragging my throw blankets all over. Mission accomplished. This is lightweight enough for the warm climate in which we live but still offers a little coverage when you first wake up.

Fits properly, soft, comfortable, lightweight

If this review provides the info you need before buying, please consider marking it "Helpful", as that's very helpful for reviewers! I was in the market for a lighter weight robe, since the one I've had for a long time is just way too hot and I decided to replace it. I got my hands on a different brand of robe that appears exactly the same, and it was just not good. Too expensive, not stretchy, and sized wrong. This Amazon Essentials robe solved the problem, because it is the exact style I wanted, looks great, but is sized appropriately, is made of a softer fabric (though it looks identical to the other robe), and there is some stretch to it as well, so when you raise your arms for example, it doesn't bind your shoulders up, but gives you room to move. The material is fairly thin, as it should be for a light robe, but it feels well made, and the seams and stitching all seem robust. Hopefully this will be a good robe for years to come. Good price, good quality, good material, good fit. Good deal!

►Review for: Amazon Essentials Lightweight Shawl Robe Bathrobe, Light Grey, US XL-XXL (EU XXL-3XL)◄ This one surprised me with how premium it feels and well-made it is. Only £20 and it's more luxurious than my partner's robe that she bought from a health-spa for nearly 7-times the price. It's just so soft, it doesn't feel like cotton/polyester blend it feels like cashmere and cotton, seriously, it's really unbelievable how soft it is even after a few washes. It's also lightweight without being paper-thin so it's light and airy enough for summer but I will use it most of the winter too as it's warm and cosy when you wrap it around you and tie it up. Regarding the size, I'm a big guy, 198cm and 130Kg, I don't know what that is in 18th-century fluid ounces but it's pretty big, maybe 6.5 to 6.7 and 20+ stones, so I would usually need a 4XL but I took a chance on this as it was so cheap. Surprisingly, the US XL-XXL fits me perfectly. Oh, and it's very absorbent, not as much as a thick towelling robe but this good. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - My bargain of 2020. If the price increased to £60 I would still buy another, just in a darker color as my dogs will no doubt put dirty paw prints all over this. The best robe I've owned.

Product is fine

1st thing. Packaging was none existent. Delivery address label just stuck on the clear product bag. This bag was not sealed, so item may well have fallen out of the bag several times. There's no obvious place to complain about this, so here I shall put it. The item itself is way to big and the sizes don't match any other manufacturer's guides. I normally order 2xl in t-shirts, this XL-XXL nearly wraps around me twice.

Nice

Got for dad as his old gown was very worn. This one is perfect. Right to the size, comfortable, looks good on dad. Doesnt take too much space in a luggage, so be can take it when travelling

Great value. I had purchased a more expensive lightweight robe, but returned due to poor quality, so I decided to give this one a go. Its great, quite a generous fit, but I like that. It a good quality light weight robe, excellent value for money, especially with the 10% prime discount.
