Basic Black Top

In the wintertime, I love wearing flannels with these types of tops underneath. So when I saw this set of two available from Vine, I requested them and here we are. This review is for: Amazon Essentials Women's Slim-Fit Layering Long Sleeve Knit Rib V-Neck (Available in Plus Size), Pack of 2 These arrived safely and undamaged. The fabric is not as soft as I had hoped, but it is soft. I ordered an XL, even though I've recently lost some weight. It's actually a bit large on me at the shoulder area, but as long as I wear the correct bra, I can still wear them. And if I layer them under a flannel I don't have to worry about the shoulder area slipping down. Very little ironing is needed, which I love. And the fabric makes these easy to take care of and they are machine washable. (I did mine on delicate, in a delicates bag, just in case.) The fabric is also breathable, so when I got a bit too warm, I removed the flannel and that was enough to cool me down. Overall, these are basic tops, but they're inexpensive, breathable and easy to take care of. All of which makes these a win for me!

Great, soft layering piece!

Love this t-shirt for lounging around the house! It's super flattering, has a good amount of stretch and the ribbed fabric is very forgiving!

Nice fabric, seemed a little small

I recently lost some weight and have been mostly buying size Large in items. I wanted these to be more loose fitting, so I went up to an XL. I am 5'8" about 175 (still working on it!) I am happy I got the XL because it fits more like a Large. Maybe it is supposed to be more body-hugging, but the fabric isn't quite a soft and thin as most "body-con" type of items are. It feels more like a t-shirt (a nice t-shirt) so it's a little stiff for body hugging. Maybe after washing it will be softer. I do see the model in the photo is wearing one and it is pretty close to her body and mine fit slightly bigger than that, but not loose in any way. Overall it is a nice item. The fabric is nicer than many of the "cheap" layering shirts I have. I like the cut out neck very much. Not exactly a v-neck (which can bother my neck sometimes if the collar isn't cutout enough) but it dips so I wouldn't call it a "scoop"...more like a scoop V neck (I'll call it a "voop" lol!) I do wear black layering shirts a LOT. Under cardigans, by themselves, with blazers, etc. I do like it, just thought the one size up would fit more loosely.

Super slim fit!

These are listed as slim fit and they aren't kidding. I like to sometimes wear long sleeves to layer under my scrub tops and thought these would be a good option. I'm normally a small but ordered a medium since I don't like my shirts to ride up my waist. Unfortunately, these still rolled up my waist and I wish I'd gotten a large! Tight fit aside, these are really nice. The rib knit is warm and comfortable against my skin. The stitching is even, fabric has no snags or runs.

Fits well in sleeves, a little clingy in the stomach area

This is a tighter fitting basic white undershirt. The sleeves weren't overly tight or constrictive. And I like the ribbed texture and the v neck. Both great features. In the stomach/torso area however, the fit is tapered and tight. It tucks in very easily and nicely. I don't mind the tighter fit, but if you're looking for a loose, baggy layering piece, this isn't the one. It is flattering if you have a flat/toned stomach, but it will show your rolls, if they are there too.

Basic white shirt

I like this shirt a lot, I just can't figure out what to do with it. Although it's a bit too sheer to be worn on its own, it would be great as a base layer, although probably too thick for warmer climates. The ribbing gives it some stretch, but overall it's very fitted and runs a bit smaller than expected. The v neck is flattering and means it likely wouldn't show underneath a sweatshirt or other outer layer. If you want to wear it on its own, I'd definitely size up

Size up

The material is thin and soft. I am usually a small but wish I had ordered a medium. According to the size chart, a small would fit better on my bust (34) and a medium would fit better on my waist (31). This shirt fits comfy on my shoulders, tight on my bust and bunches all around my waist. It also feels tight on my arms. Measure your waist and order according to that so it won’t be too tight.

Very fitted

I’ve gotten many Amazon brand shirts before, always Medium size and they fit loosely. This was a Medium but fits very tight and fitted. So beware of that. Other than sizing it’s just fine…basic long sleeve, v-neck tshirts!
