Top perch size reference…

For those of you that have a big cat like me, this is a picture of my big framed, stout and strong, 20 pound male cat trying to fit into the top perch… as you can clearly see, he hangs over the sides of it, and more disturbingly, it wobbles extremely bad when he jumps onto it… although my big cat has other ‘more stable’ full on wood trees, I cannot keep him off of this thing! He simply loves this tree! I should've known better than to get it, but for the price, I couldn’t help myself! I thought upon my big cat realizing it was not sturdy enough for him, he’d just stay off of it, but NOPE, he will not! Oh well, I guess I’ll have to find a way to stabilize it! Now, for my 7 pound male cat (pictured below) that I actually did buy it for (that lives in my son’s room due to attacking my sole female cat) that my big male cat randomly visits… this tree does not wobble (just the normal rattle when climbing rambunctiously, but no tipping) and he fits into & onto it perfectly! Now the carpet on this tree is just right! All 3 of my cats love this particular carpet! My female cat couldn’t keep her claws off of it, while I was assembling it (I’m probably going to buy her the smaller one for this reason)! The carpet hasn’t shed any yet! Not true for their other trees that costed quadruple the amount of this one! So in short, this cat tree is perfect for small and medium cats, but if you have a large cat, it’s probably going to have to be stabilized!

Cats LOVE this

I have 3 fat cats who break almost every cat tree. I wanted something sturdier but not spend so much money. I found this cat tree for $35 and thought what the heck. When I took the top basket out, one of my cats instantly laid on it. It was so hard to put together because all 3 cats were all over it and couldn't wait! Super study! Easy install (except for my nosey cats) and they love it! Buying a few more because other brands are usually $100-200 for this quality. My 15-20lb cats fit and it doesn't rock when they jump on it or scratch it. Awesome deal.

Even the large is SMALL ***New Edit***

The Pros: Very sturdy and well made, would be perfect for a small cat The Cons: Too small! Even the large isn’t big enough for a typical adult cat. The round perch is only 12” wide in the “large” size. 12 inches ?!?!?! It should be at least 15 inches in diameter if not 16”. Really disappointing. 3 weeks later update, the perch at the top was smaller than I expected, but my large 22 pound cat seems to make it work. He sleeps up there every night, so I am amending to 5 stars because it’s working great.

A bit flimsy but great bang for the buck

I admit for $60, you're getting a lot. A cat tower of comparable size and quality at my local Petco goes for about $120. The scratch posts are attached by single screws and the entire tower shakes when my 2 year old cat jumps to the top. There's also quite a bit of play when I pull on the scratch posts but it seems to be holding up well overall- no cracks or deformities yet in the wood.

Sturdy item and a great price

I researched many towers beforehand. My cat likes to climb up and perch on this. He is quite big. He enjoys playing on all the levels. I have not worked out yet how to get him to scratch the posts though.

Works as intended!

We have a 3 month old puppy and my cat is not a fan of him. The height of this kitty condo allows her to be up out of his reach. She is 12lbs and fits in the top circle perfectly!

Perfect size cat tree

I love this basic cat tree. My cat uses it as a scratching post and catches the morning sun on the top perch. I love that it’s neutral and is short enough that it fits under my window without blocking my view. The low profile neutral design allows my cat to have a comfortable resting place without causing a distraction in the design of my living room

Low cost but good quality!

I had a previous one for so many years that finally needed to be replaced. Easy to assemble, seems sturdy, simple and takes up small space! Time will tell if it lasts and my cat enjoys it!

Amazon basics top quality and a new fave place for Chloe the spoilt Ragdoll

The media could not be loaded. There are literally hundreds of cheapo flimsy towers like this that I’ve seen in other people’s houses that are poorly made and look tatty. I’ve built up quite a bit of trust with amazon basics brand over the years, either with pet things or cables, kitchen things. The one thing that is consistent is there are few bells and whistles, but what you get is reliably and robustly made. This is probably the largest purchase made in the range, and it’s a beauty. Assembly took about 10 minutes (8 of which was interpreting the instructions). Once built it’s nice and sturdy, no rocking, and looks great. Most importantly our giant rag doll has found a new favourite place as you can see in the photos. We also have a Maine Coon who also loves a good explore. The main reason for the purchase was to divert attention from a new couch. As you’d expect trying to change a cats behaviour, limited success ????

Good tree; reviews a little misleading

It's a nice cat tree, but I feel I was a little misled by other reviews. I have a large, healthy, and agile Maine Coon that cannot climb to the top; there just isn't much room to maneuver with his large frame. I purchased the large, and I think it would be a good fit for a small to average cat. I included some pictures with big kitty so you can judge for yourself if your cat would enjoy it.

Cats love it, but the product won't last beyond 6 months

This can't take the load of a 5kg cat. The base plastic of the round layer just broke off. Cloudtail support as expected denies warranty as this is 'physical damage'. A cat jumping up and down (as the product is intended to be used) caused physical damage! Lasted for less than 6 months, and I am appalled at Amazon/Cloudtail customer support on this. Buy only if you keep in mind this will break soon. Additionally, there is one other user who has reported the exact same issue with photographic evidence. You are warned!

Correcto con algún pero

El montaje es de arriba hacia abajo, cosa a tener en cuenta para leer las instrucciones y no ir de valiente. Normalmente todos mis árboles se empezaban a montar por la base, pero este no. Es muy estable y las columnas gordas, relación calidad-precio ok. Ahora bien, yo no sé si mis 4 gatos son subnormales o qué, pero les cuesta subir a la plataforma de arriba una barbaridad. Al ser la plataforma bastante grande no queda mucho espacio libre en la intermedia así que montan unos jaris para subir que ni Pepe Villuela. Aún así voy a tener que comprar otro porque mi gata mayor ya tiene instaurado su reino del terror y no deja subir a nadie más. Compraré el mismo para evitar favoritismos.

Great box

It’s really easy to assemble and felt sturdy but sadly our cat found it a bit small and wobbly . Also bit new smell smelly but am sure that will pass . Our cat is a rescue Ragdoll big fella and to be honest the plinths were a bit small . If have smaller cats think would be great and as said easy to put together just sadly not for us . Would recommend though
