Using as a short broom

First, ignore the reviews that claim the sections don't have the correct male/female ends to assemble it. Although it appears the male/female ends are wrong, they do in fact assemble very securely. Second, ignore the reviews complaining of receiving a used/dirty broom. It is obvious in the review photos, that some reviewers do not understand what "flagged" bristles means. I wanted a smallish broom, in terms of width of the sweeping head and overall height. I use a broom 2-3 times a day to sweep cat litter (pelletized pine) in the laundry room, with a quick one-handed sweep. The petite sweeping head on this broom is perfect for the small task. It also allows me to easily sweep in tight areas, and then into my Oxo dustpan. I omitted one of the sections of the broom handle to make it shorter. The shortened version (with one section omitted) is exactly 37 inches from the hanging hole to the bottom of the bristles. I can't speak to how it would perform at full height in typical two-handed sweeping, but it is perfect for the quick one-handed sweeping I do in a small area, and performs its task very well. The broom feels substantial and sturdy without being too heavy. Overall, it was a good value. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, is that I would have preferred the option to buy the broom without a dustpan. I did not need nor want this dustpan, so it went directly into a box for Goodwill, which is a big waste of plastic.

Perfect for RV

I bought this for my travel trailer as I needed a small one to hang on a small wall by the door. It is the perfect size and a good quality broom. I love it. What I didn’t love was the dust pan, as it didn’t lay flat on the floor, and therefore, didn’t sweep up all the dirt. I actually found a small snap on dust pan that is an excellent quality and has a rubber edge to sweep up all the dirt. I did have to snap it on the broom handle pretty hard the first few times but now it snaps on easily. Here is a link to the dust pan. Perfect for sweeping up cat litter

I bought this because I was tired of bending over to use a whisk broom for sweeping up the small amount of litter my cat kicks out of his litter box, and I wanted something lightweight and smaller than a regular broom. It works fine for my needs

Good broom

The broom is great, takes seconds to assemble. It’s a bit on the heavy side which is good and bad. It’s sturdy so it’s not gonna be breaking anytime soon, but it’s heavier than I’m used to in a broom which was an adjustment. Perfect for a quick pick up to get the cat hair that seems to appear out of thin air and multiply when I’m not looking lol. Not a fan of the dust pan, the lip is rather on the thick side and really doesn’t allow you to easily sweep things into it. I just use the one from my old broom that I replaced with this one. The price is reasonable. Very good overall purchase.

Sturdy

Best broom ever ! Excellent design ! Clever

Easiest broom. Fast clean up for my home. After first purchase, I bought more for kitchen, upstairs closet, studio. doubles as a as a dust broom with built in handle. Threw out the other brooms in the house even a new one after using this !

Functional, but do not like dust pan

Broom workes well, lightweight, gets in corners well. The dust pan has a curve in it and it's hard to keep the dirt on dust pan to throw away. Not good at cleaning up fine crumbs and dust. I may have to buy another dust pan, which is annoying.

Overall great except for ONE THING

Ok we ordered this broom and dustpan after staying at an Airbnb that had it and we LOVED using it there, so we got it for our home. Well, it is really great except for something they must have changed since the one our Airbnb had: THE DUSTPAN! The lip of the dustpan is very oddly curved upward, and does not have a silicone or rubber lip that extends out from it. Therefore, when you try to sweep dust or dirt into the dustpan, there is nothing helping the dustpan grip the floor and block finer dust and dirt from getting swept under the pan. Additionally, you have to sweep debris UP AND OVER the upward curve of the lip of the dustpan; it feels like sweeping up and over a hill. This causes debris to fly over and beyond the dustpan if you do not sweep slowly and carefully and at the right angles. It is so daftly designed that I took off 2 stars. We will be keeping the broom but we will be replacing the dustpan with something else, which is annoying because A) we already spent money on this set and would like to not have to purchase another piece, and B) the dustpan that comes with it is shaped well to fit against the broom and snap nicely onto the handle of the broom for storage, which a different dustpan likely won't quite live up to. On the good side, we will definitely keep the broom because it was super easy to assemble, and I was impressed right off the bat that all pieces of the broom handle are metal, not plastic! It assembled easily yet feels really sturdy and is also a nice height: We are 5'9" and 6'2" so a short broom handle has been a problem before. Not this one! We can both use it comfortably and it doesn't wobble or bend or buckle as we use it. It isn't an Oskar or anything but we like it :) Hopefully they rethink the dustpan lip design going forward.

Good broom, bad dustpan

The broom is sturdy and good, and I like you can turn it into a short broom if needed with the extendable pole. It has a hole by the bristles that is useful to grab it from and use it as a more hand held version. However, the dustpan is useless. It doesn't align to the floor properly so when you sweep it leaves half the debris behind. Even after sweeping several times into the dustpan, it leaves rubbish behind. My advice is only buy if you already have a dustpan that works for you.

Sweeps clean

Lovely broom sweeps right in my corners especially in my kitchen and bathroom. Also stands in my small kitchen and does not take any space, also a sturdy dustpan came with this as well. Great value for the price, definitely recommend.

Dustpan & Brush

Good dustpan & brush. I personally should maybe have bought the brush with the harder bristles. But still does the job. The dustpan handily fits onto the brush handle & covers the bristles. I thought this was a good idea as it stops bristles resting on the floor

Not super sturdy but was inexpensive, so fair enough. Gets the job done.
