long-lasting outdoor light-detection lightbulb
I got a pack of 2. The first has survived the winter and is still going. It comes on as soon as the sky darkens and goes off in the daytime just as it is designed to do. It is very bright and protects my front yard from prowlers. It is less expensive than replacing my outdoor light fixture with a light-sensitive light fixture. I highly recommend this brand. Reviews of other brands reveal some are not as reliable than this one obviously is.

Worked right outta the box!
Struggled with Wi-Fi lights for front porch and garage entrance. Hit and miss and complicated. Then, I accidentally ran across these light-sensitive bulbs from Amazon. Suddenly…the “lights” came on in my head. If these worked, no more drain on my Wi-Fi, no more setting and re-setting on and off times. I ordered them, got them the next day, screwed them in and, like clockwork, at dusk, they all four came on at nearly the same time. The next morning, as I sat drinking my coffee, like another miracle, they all went off at nearly the same time. The bulbs cost about half what Wi-Fi bulbs cost, emit identical lumens of brightness and hue and are literally maintenance free! And…they don’t need daylight or standard time on and off settings to know when to be on and when to be off. We’ll see how they continue to function but, for now, my world is bright again when it needs to be and dark when I can see without their help. Thanks, Amazon!

Easy install and works great
I like this light because you just screw it in and let it work. It's sensitive to light so it doesn't always come on when the it's cloudy. I've used the sensor extensions but they don't work as well as this light. I don't know how long it will last because i just got them. Good buy.

Sensor works just great
Am using this bulb in porch light fixture that's under a covered walkway. I've tried several light:dark sensor devices that didn't work successfully, but the sensor built into in this bulb works just great. Highly recommend and glad bulbs are very competitively priced.

Nice for outdoors
I like these lights. I live in the country and it gets pretty dark out here so I added these to the back door and the front porch of our cabin. You plug them in to the light socket turn the light switch on and leave it. The lights go off during the day but turn on at dusk they stay on till daylight. It helps light the place up. They’re also bright.

Works as advertised.
I could not find any dawn to dusk sensor light kits for my exterior entry front door that I liked. I decided to keep the ones I have and try these sensor bulbs. They work as advertised. I have two of these bulbs in the same area and during the day I noticed that one was off and the other was on. Here is a small tip. Depending on the socket when you screw the bulb all the way in, the sensor may face the back of the wall, which may not receive as much light during the day. This will cause the bulb to think it still night time and stay on. After screwing the bulb all the way in the socket, unscrew a little to where the sensor is facing out, not toward the wall. They should work fine like this.

Love how this dusk to dawn light bulb works. We don't have to worry about the returning home in the dark. It also is perfect for when we are on vacation. We have had these for several months with no issues. I will definitely purchase again!
