High Quality
I decided to get this for my Teton Tracker sleeping bag, which is quite bulky. This compression sack gets it a lot smaller than the one it came with, without straining as much, and seems very sturdy. Also, you can stuff it into the pocket on the end for convenient storage!

XL will fit a Big Agnes Elk Park -20 sleeping bag
I purchased the XL just a few days ago, so I have not had the chance to take it out and kick it around the woods or swing an axe at it just to see if it will withstand being kicked around the woods or having an axe swung at it. What I can tell you, is that after packing my sleeping bag in it and compressing it a few times, that I love it, and it will do it's intended job. I have a Big Agnes Elk Park -20 sleeping bag, which is a big sleeping: Shoulder Girth 80.5in / Hip Girth is 75in / Foot Girth is 66in, and will fit someone who is 6' 6" tall (copied from Big Agnes' website). The stuff sack it comes with is 12" x 23". So, in short, it's a big sleeping bag. It fits perfectly in the XL bag. It won't compress all the way though, as you can see from the pictures, which I know some will be incredibly disappointed and say the manufacturer needs to go back to the drawing board, but that is just fine with me. I'm sure if I wanted to give a little more force I could compress the Elk Park all the way. The overall compressed length with the BA Elk Park inside it is right at 16", kind of hard to tell from the pic, so subtract 2" and that puts you right at the max compression with this bag inside if I pushed it all the way to the end. You can see the bartacked stitching, and it does its job in keeping the stress points from ripping apart. The only thing I could say to make the stress points stronger is to use full box stitching, but this is nicely done and works. I did put some force into it at the end just to test them out, and I saw no issue with the stress points. The bag compressed very easy all the way up to the end before ANY amount of force was required. The material itself is very light weight, but you can tell by the feel of it that it is quality material and construction. I will be purchasing another one of these bags for my wife's sleeping bag, and I am quite certain the M would work, the L would probably give her room to throw in a blanket or two. As someone who has used, and destroyed, a lot of compression sacks and stuff sacks, I would buy this one again and again with confidence. I look forward to kicking it around the woods on my next outing very soon.

Great gear at a reasonable price!
I'm a novice backpacker on a budget, which means a lot of my gear is bulky and synthetic. It also means I'm always looking for cheaper, more durable gear. This compression sack addresses both problems! I have aSuisse Sport Adventurer XL Sleeping Bag purchased right here on Amazon. Although it claims to be "ultralight" and packable, it's quite bulky, especially since I made the rookie mistake of ordering the extra long version when I didn't really need it. The compression sack that came with the bag is flimsy and doesn't compress very well - mostly the sleeping bag just squishes out the sides as you compress it. I've since learned that this is the case with almost all sleeping bags - the compression sacks they come with tend to be useless. With that in mind, I went looking for something more durable, with better compression. At only $15, this ALPS Mountaineering bag seemed worth a shot. As you can probably tell from the many questions on this item, it's difficult to tell what size you'll need to fit your sleeping bag. I purchased the medium, which some reviewers claimed was huge and others said was too small. I found it was just right to fit the Suisse Sport Adventurer XL. With some extra shoving and swearing, I can also jam in myTwisted Root Flare Underquilt and compress both items together. These bulky synthetic items will always be bulky and synthetic, but the ALPS compression sack compresses them down to about the size of a basketball, which means they'll actually fit into myKelty Moraine 3600 Pack . This is a huge improvement, as previously I could only compress my sleeping bag alone to about the size of a small beach ball. As others have mentioned, the zippered pocket on the end of the sack is pretty much useless, especially once the sack is full. With some extra finagling I think I might be able to slide in myFriendly Swede Sleeping Bag Liner (you know, if I actually take the time to fold it up neatly instead of crumpling it into a ball!) or perhaps a small inflatable pillow, but I haven't tried this yet. What I like most about this compression sack is that it feels very durable. The material is heavy and will not rip easily. The straps are sewn on very well, and I felt like I could put a lot of force on them without fear of tearing out the stitching. Yes, it's heavier than the silnylon compression sacks on the market, but it won't split open the first time you accidentally drag it over some rocks or drop it on a sharp branch. If you care more about how your gear performs than about how much it weighs, you'll appreciate this item. Plus, it's only half the price of most decent silnylon compression sacks. Overall, I highly recommend this compression sack and will likely purchase another in the future!

Everything I wanted!
I needed a new bag for our sleeping bag for an overnight. This exceeded my expectations. It is lightweight yet sturdy. I poured water on it to test the resistance and it rolled off. However I didn't submerge it to test if waterproof. I don't think it was advertised as waterproof though. It took our large Coleman sleeping bag and travel pillow and compressed it nicely into a travel friendly bundle. Plus it looks cool. I'm quite pleased with this purchase.

Great stuff sack
Really like this wish they had a smaller size too

Solid piece of gear
This is a mid-weight construction. Not as robust as a full fledged dry bag, heavier and less fragile than an ultralight compression sac. They’ve let me shave some weight off my bike-packing, but still keep things well protected from rain and abrasion.

Space saving
I can put a king-size quilt and king size flannel sheets and several bath towels and it compacts down to a small size like a small back pack ...saves so much space when travelling

Big enough
Tough littke bag got the 45l bag for my huge teton canvas minus 18 sleeping bag and got the sleeping bag down to 50% of its pack size
