Beautiful Old Time Diver

This is a great looking old style diver watch. The inner bezel allows you to measure dive time and the screw down crown prevents it from moving. The watch is pretty compact compared to most modern divers so it does not overwhelm your wrist. I ware the watch daily and would not be concerned taking it diving. I have not tested the watch under water but it is rated for 300 M. Highly recommended.

A handsome and accurate watch for any occasion.

Very accurate and attractive watch. The classic design has enabled me to wear it in casual and work settings. I have received numerous compliments on its appearance. Additionally, I have worn it to the beach and in the pool; no water intrusion. Very comfortable strap. Incredible price for the value.

Great!

Elegant, the kind of classic watch that is not flashy and never outdated. Excellent materials and execution. With a water resistance of 300m this is a great buy. A versatile watch- looks good both as a business or as a pool/outdoor watch. As precise as my Longines hydroconquest, clearly a good entry level luxury watch.

Great Quality

The watch surpassed expectations. However it did arrive with a rubber strap, not a leather strap. I do prefer a rubber strap on a diver watch. The watch is of high quality and I would recommend it to anyone. However, Amazon delivery did not obtain my signature when it arrived. It was just left at the door available for anyone to steal. Again great watch!

Date Window Creatively Placed

I have to say, I love the look of this watch, I recently purchased this watch, I have many nice watches in my collection. The one thing some people dis-like I think is brilliant. the date window, I always got frustrated at the fact you lose the semetry of a watch when they place the date window at 3 or 6 o'clock, you lose a marker, number or it's shorter. This watch changed that, they place the date window between the two, brillient, they also kept the date window's shape to match the original. I don't understand when people say it ruins a watch, I think it makes this beautiful watch unique, I wish more companies would follow the same suit. Happy Time Keeping.

Quality watch but ruined by date window

This watch has perhaps the most poorly executed date window of any Swiss watch currently in production. The ugly and misaligned placement of the date window totally ruins the watch, and it’s a flaw you notice every time you look down at it. It’s too bad, it’s otherwise an attractive piece with impressive specs at a good price point.

Affordable Excellence

Proof once again that there's no need to spend a fortune for an iconic watch. Often, brands like Alpina are overlooked, much like Raymond Weil or Edox, but, having been at this watch hobby for nearly two decades, with hundreds in my collection, and always on the hunt for the best ratio of price to quality, I was fortunate to try one of their quartz Seastrong models, and was very pleased. Taking a look at what else they offer, I came across this classic, and they've really mastered the vintage look that is so popular right now. As a sporty, tuxedo dial design, it is extremely versatile and evokes a distinguished feel, a real gentleman's watch. Especially attractive here at Amazon was the price, which is near to half of retail, and it arrived with everything you'd get from an Authorized Dealer, with no doubts about authenticity. Functional? You bet. 300m WR, which is terrific on a retro style. Internal bezel, high beat Swiss automatic movement, date window. It even comes on a practical rubber strap, very attractive, but ideal for a dive watch that you can wear to the beach, and keep on your wrist for an evening on the town afterward. Only slight down side is non-impressive lume. Glows up great, at first, but quickly fades. There's been debate about the odd-shaped date window, but I find it unique and it adds charm, for my taste. Super comfortable on the wrist, slim, easily slips under a shirt cuff, Swiss made, and yet another gem I've found for around the one thousand dollar mark. So many great buys in that arena, that bring every element of the five thousand plus crowd, but don't leave a dent in your wallet and this is a premium example. A truly beautiful time piece and ideal as a gift of high quality, whether to yourself or to another. Love that it comes in a handsome, wooden presentation box, which is additionally housed in a padded Alpina bag. Definitely imparts a feeling well above its price tag, as is always the case when you find treasures like this. I just ordered their Alpiner 4 automatic, and I'm looking forward to being equally impressed. My highest recommendation here, whether a first watch, or adding to a collection. A unique piece that truly stands out. Very happy!!!
