Runs small

This is a great skirt. I ordered it for a halloween costume. The skirt is just the right length, it is thick and the pleats lay really well. However it does run small and the elastic waist is very thick and not forgiving. You have to order the right size. I am 105 pounds and 5 3" and I ordered the womens small and it was very tight.

Great Costume Cheer Skirt

Very cute/comfy cheer skirt. I needed one for a party and this was perfect. Fit as expected and was a tad longer than a traditional skirt. Great for an adult who doesn't want to look like she is pretending to be a teen!

Poor picture/misleading color

The picture is royal and white. That is the color I wanted and needed. I received the skirt and it was purple and white. Looking further into it the caption does say purple and white so why not change the picture! Very frustrating

PSA Re: Stitched-down pleats…

This is too late for the poor dears who wrote the 1 star reviews but here is a friendly PSA/FYI (which was supposed to be brief as well) for people who might be persuaded by these & other, similar reviews for this and other similar skirts and anyone else who might need to hear it. For instance, people who are unaware of how pleated garments arrive to the consumer and/or retailer, folks who’ve never purchased a skirt and/or blazer, those who have but either didn’t notice the “X” of different-colored thread! stitched into the vent or pleat(s) or who did but thought it was a design detail, or the people who(like me a few times) assumed that the pocket that won’t open is purely decorative ..this is for you: Many Pleated garments- including this one come with the pleats STITCHED CLOSED!! This is to keep them from getting wonky in transit. You’re meant to take the stitching OUT of the pleats on a skirt- including but not limited to THIS ONE- In order to release the pleats. It’s unfortunate that the manufacturer chose to do this with what looks like a seam in the same color thread, or the seller did not take notice of the negative reviews and put instructions for removing this basting stitch in the photos or some other prominent place so the customer who doesn’t know will see it- but, C’est la vie! The same is true of the vent in the back of a skirt or blazer with the large X-shaped stitch in it. The Pocket that won’t open is often not purely decorative. Like pleats & vents, they are also often sewn closed to keep them from getting misshapen in transit & while in the store. You’re supposed to clip them out when you get them home & certainly before you wear them out- especially to a job interview or court appearance. Now you know! And as they (meaning the characters on the old, Animated GI Joe TV show) say: “Knowing is half the battle” With love, Your Friendly, neighborhood Fashion-School Drop-out with OCD & a deadly allergy to negative reviews written by people whose poor experience is due to a lack of understanding.
