Pleasantly amazed!
I was honestly hesitant about buying this bike rack, particularly given the comparatively low price tag. But I couldn't justify spending hundreds on something I only needed a few times a year, especially for a bike that's old enough to vote. Since I drive a Prius hatchback, I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to find an affordable option that would work with my car – until I found this little gem! PROS: - STORAGE BAG: I love the fact that it comes with a storage bag, to keep it compact and organized when not in use. Without the bag, it would be more challenging to store and transport, particularly with all the straps involved. - EASY TO ASSEMBLE: The instructions are remarkably clear and comprehensible, with options for multiple body types. It took a little bit of study the first time to get it assembled and attached to the car (mainly because I was paranoid about doing it wrong), but from then on, it's a piece of cake. - SURPRISINGLY STURDY: I was wary about the stability of any folding/collapsible model, but when it's snapped into place and strapped to the car, it doesn't budge! – UP TO 2 BIKES: There's room for 2 bikes on this rack, although I've only used it for 1 so far. But I like that I have the option for a second bike. CONS: I only have 2 minor quibbles, but they're not big deals to me, particularly as the rack is so high quality yet affordable otherwise: - STRAP FRICTION: This one is kind of unique to the design of my car than to the bike rack, but worth considering. The straps are your standard heavy-duty ribbed design, which makes them super strong, but it also means that the straps could damage the finish on your car if they're allowed to rest against the body at any points of tension/friction. The design of my car necessitates that they rest at the point where the hatch bends from a gentle slope to being perpendicular with the road, so to avoid wear or friction damage at that point, I simply wrapped that portion of the straps with electrical tape, which seems to have worked great. - NOT AS STRAIGHTFORWARD FOR SLOPING CROSSBARS: If you're transporting a male bicycle with a [nearly] horizontal crossbar, you won't have any issues. But if you have a female bike or one with a heavily sloped crossbar, you're going to have to get creative to keep it from riding too high on the rack to be stable/secure or so low so that one side drags along the ground. There are adaptors you can buy separately to accommodate for this, although I haven't tried any of them personally. CONCLUSION: Well worth the price, and I've actually gotten a lot more use out of it than I'd initially anticipated. Highly recommended!

Its works for me with an adjustment.
This is supposed to fit my 2022 Buick Envision and it does, but only with an adjustment. The bottom tie down has no solid metal to attach to under the center of the bumper. There are some solid spots where the bumper attaches to metal, but they are off center by about one foot. So I attached the bottom tie down to the metal on one side and then I attached a bungy cord to the metal spot under the bumper on the other side to have equal pressure holding ea side. I have used this rack once to drive 16 miles to a park with my bike and it was fine. I hit some small/medium bumps and checked it a couple times on the way and it stayed pretty tight. However I would not drive through the "Rocky Mountains" with this rack. But it cost me $60 rather than $425 to buy and get a trailer hitch put and another $150=$650 for a hitch mounted rack. I would not feel at peace using this on bumpy terrains however. I am going to use two bungy cords for the bottom tie downs instead of the one hook they have, but that is due to the way my car is made, maybe not yours.

This is fantastic
This is great. We only needed something to use every once in a while so we picked this up. It is super easy to hook up to my car. We have 2 Dodge SUV's and this will attach to both with no problem. Drove on the highway with a bike on there and had no issues. It was still just as tight as when I hooked it up. The hooks are metal, so I got some of the rubber stuff I use in my toolbox to keep things from sliding around, I took that and cut it to size to put under the hooks on my car so as not to scratch the paint. When I'm done, it folds right up for easy storage. If you are looking for something quick and simple that works, this is it.

FIt's great!
This bike rack is very sturdy against my 2004 Subaru Forester. I can open the hatch with the rack on it and doesn't come loose. I don't think you could fit two bikes on their though but it works for my bike.

Sturdy and strong
I recently purchased this car bike mount for a road trip, and while it did its job, I have some mixed feelings about it. On the positive side, it was relatively easy to install and held my bike securely. Only complicated part was the straps. No instructions in the manual for where to put hooks.

Uncertain future
The reviews ask unanswerable questions when one has only owned a product for a few weeks and used it maybe three times. It requires no assembly so that was easy. Installing is not a whole lot harder than other bike racks. However, easy would mean it doing it itself. I'm still not sure about sturdiness. I do doubt the length of time before the straps that attach bikes to the rack will fray. When they do, I'll be required to try and fix them but then they'll just fray again.

Simple but adequate lightweight bike rack.
Sorry about the long review but I took some time picking a rack out for us and I read plenty of reviews and I really wanted to add some of my thoughts. I bought the Allen bike rack for our 2 childrens bikes to go on our Peugeot 2008. Although it wasn’t listed as fitting our car for what it cost it was worth a punt. It arrived the next day as it was prime delivery. It comes in a small but weighty box. The rack is super simple to get ready. I would say assembly as it’s fully assembled in the box and just has to be erected if you like. It has 5 nylon straps with metal hooks on the ends which 2 hook over the top of the boot, 2 to the sides and 1 under the bottom of the boot lid. The whole operation took about 10 mins maximum. So the bikes we were using were 2 fairly small child’s bikes and they posed some trouble. This was because 1 was just too small, we got it on to a certain extent but not as I would of preferred. The second slightly bigger bike was a jiggle (again because of its size) but it went on. Apart from that and not wanting to strap the rack tighter to the boot in case of damage the rack served it’s purpose. We had a 15min drive to a promenade for a little ride and besides a nerve racking first drive, the drive back was less nail biting as I tightened the rack to the boot a little. After getting back the bikes come off super easy and the rack comes with a small bag to keep it in after unlatching and folding up. So all in all the rack flat out works, it isn’t exactly the sturdiest on the market but it is certainly one of the cheapest, the build quality is more than enough for what we need, 2 small child’s bikes. Personally I wouldn’t start hanging heavy or large expensive bikes off it for the obvious reasons and I wouldn’t want to drive for a couple of hundred miles with it in the boot. It is fairly forgiving in the fit on cars and I imagine it will fit most hatchbacks etc. Anyways hopefully this lengthy review is of some help to anyone who is in the market for a cheap bike rack.

Sturdy Bike rack
Brilliant car rack and easy to fit any type of car (except Audi TT coupe). Could to with padding to put onto windows to prevent possible scratching but really useful. Easily fitted 2 mountain bikes to a Vauxhall Astra.

Worth it.
I must say I was apprehensive about this purchase. It was strapped on in under 5 minutes. Took 2 XL mountain bikes on a polo mk5 over a distance of 80 miles with an avg. speed of 60 and it was sturdy. I stopped once to make sure everything was in place and it was all still as tight as if I had just put it on. I would recommend tying the excess straps up so they don't clatter against the car.

Wow, love this Bicycle carrier.....
Take your time with this clever carrier... I've had a few cumbersome carriers over the years that needed storage facilities because they were big, robust units that couldn't be compacted.... This unit is soo compact, folding into itself very neatly ... Take your time unfolding it..... it works but can cause frustration if your expectations are that you just put it on your car & go!!!! Practice, Practice with it, it works and folds up soo compact that you can leave it in your Trunk/Boot..... Patience & Understanding required ????

Good basic carrier, however does not fit young childrens bikes
Bought this for summer holidays to avoid taking our trailer, but it wasn't compatible with our kids bikes they are 3 & 6 , and the fitted bindings were too far apart to attach their bikes. Works fine for adults bikes, and fairly simple to setup
