This is a heavy duty drill extension. It is 5/8 in diameter with 3/8 hole in one end and 3/8 shaft on the other end. It weighs 12.0 ounces not the 1.9 ounces shown in the description. It also has 4 set screws to hold the drill not the normal 2. It is excellent if you need to reduce vibration when extending a drill. note: the hole is actually 10mm (.393 inch rather than .375 inch) but it works well with 3/8 bits. Worth the extra cost.

Exactly what I needed and well worth the price

I needed a bit extension for two projects I was working on and ordered this one. When it came I was extremely pleased with it and even more so when it did exactly what I needed it for. Since my first use, I have found other times when it is helpful. It is heftier than others I considered and it fit my bits perfectly.

Best heavy duty extension available. Well worth the cost. Drilling this deep requires the extra heft. Great accessory to have.

Bad product.

Very poor product. Won't stay in drill Chuck as metal to soft to hold. Won't ever buy it again!!!

Actually a 10mm extension, not 3/8

Actually 10mm (0.394") not 3/8 (0.375) which is really quite a difference. When used in drill press with 3/8shaft Forstner In the 10mm hole causes the long extension to spin eccentric out of control unless used at low rpm because the bit is offset by 0.019". My drill chuck actually came off my press because the vibration and my brand new Freud bit fell tip first into the iron base with the weight of the chuck and extension behind it... Otherwise high quality product, well made, just keep in mind it's actually 10mm.
