I bought this album on the Fourth of July. Yesterday, Amazon sent me an enquiry from a customer who wanted to know how many pages this album has. The short answer is 50 plastic photo pages (each double sided), and two paper pages (one in front, one in back), for note taking and the like. The album has a clear plastic cover which is removable. The album jacket itself has a hard cloth cover. It occurred to me that there were a couple of other things I should have mentioned, so I will do so now. Many photo albums use plastic sleeves or pockets to hold photos. This one doesn't. Instead it uses a clear plastic sheet running the entire vertical height of the page. You are supposed to slide your photos between the clear sleeve and then smooth it down flat. The plastic sticks to the plastic page underneath with a kind of surface adhesion, almost like static electricity. A bit like a cellophane wrapper clinging to your arm by static attraction. I don't think static electricity is actually involved, more like some kind of surface tension effect. This is fine for photos that lie flat. As for me, I have many old photographs that have badly curled with age. This album is useless for these. The pictures will simply slide out at the edges and spill on the floor. If your photos are flat this product may do fine, but if your photos are curled (even a little), keep looking. I'm going to search for a new album. The old fashioned kind with paper pages that allow photos to be glued down. First though, I will use my document scanner to make safety-copies. From the good old days, I remember a type of glue that came in a orange glass bottle with a rubber dispenser cap which was angled and had slit for the glue to flow. Remember those? I'll start looking soon. I hope this was some help to everyone.

Great Value - good product
This is a good album - not amazing or great, but I am happy with it. The cover is a sturdy, solid, high quality book cover with a fabric skin. this is very nice. The only downside is the edges around the front picture opening. Each corner has a SNIP in the fabric to allow it to be folded on to each side so if you look closely, there is this non-profesisonal cut in each corner. Inside the pages are a pre-set slip-in layout for 4x6 photos. I like the 3 per page (6 per opening) format and it being a tall book (with the hard cover it feels like a real book). I would never use the writing space on the side of the picture but it doens't detract too much. The plastic that covers the photos is very cheap and extremely shiney and will glare. While this is a pain, most "cheap" albums are like this, so it's a concern but part of the norm. Overall, I am very happy with this book. It's tall rather a square or wide, which is a nice touch and feels like a book, which is important. If you are looking for a basic photo album, this is your pick, hands down. If you are looking for a fancy album (wedding, etc) then I'd say the inside will ruin the fancy feel you may want. GRADE: B+ PROS -storage (300 pics) -format (3 4x6 per page) -hard cover and cloth front (solid) -value CONS -cheap plastic shiny/glare inserts -writing space next to pics (rarely used) -front cover opening not as tidy as it could be

Beautiful Photo Album
I liked everything about this photo album. Quality very good, holds large number of pictures, especially liked the slot on the front of the album to place a special photo. Would definitely recommend.
