Not quite the same size as the usual ones...

I ordered these as furnace filters of the 20x25x4 variety have become way too expensive since the pandemic. They are now about 40USD for one, where they were about half that previously. After much research, I decided to go with the MERV8 stnadard instead of the MPR1000 (MERV11) since the furnace does not require it and the amount of dust collected means that I change filter between four and six times per year. Overall, these look very similar to the name brand ones. Though the cardboard frame seems a bit thinner, it seems to be strong enough so far. The paper and the wire seem about the same. When installing though, I discovered that the 4in thickness is about 1/2" thinner than the name brand ones, which may be an issue if your frame will not hold them in place. Please note that these arrived in a cardboard box with no wrapping inside.... just six bare filters in a cardboard box. If the box gets wet, these will be ruined. If you can get these delivered dry, they may work for your furnace air filter frame depending on the thickness adaptability. I am waiting to check them next month to see if they are getting darker from all of the dust which it the main issue for us. I will update this review if they are worse than expected, but they seem to be stable in our Aprilaire air intake frame. I am cautiously rating these four stars for now. As always, your mileage and preferences may vary...

Good Value

The size I need is not widely available. So glad they are offered through Amazon. Good value and gets the job done. I change it monthly as the air conditioning runs constantly in Florida.

Value for your money

I've been ordering this brand for the past few years and have zero complaints. They are priced perfectly, fit and work as they should. I could go with a higher rated filter but that would place additional strain on the furnace. For now they hit the spot.

Decent, value filters

Not much to say here. These filters offer good value for a pack of six ($34.21 at time of my purchase) which should last the better part of a year assuming replacing every couple of months. I've been told by HVAC experts that these value filters are at least on par with their more expensive counterparts and offer adequate and acceptable filtering for the average home. No need to cough up major dough for a single expensive filter when this option is available. I will gladly buy again when the need arises, and have no issues recommending to others. * Helpful votes always appreciated *

Filters dirt while allowing airflow.

These filters provide the best value because they are inexpensive I can change them monthly without concern. My furnace demands a high airflow so the lower merv number helps with that. Seeing how dirty the filter is after a month tells me they are doing the job.
