Easy to install and perfect for fence hanging!
Bought for my hummingbird feeders and works great! Extends far out and after 1 year of use, no rust on it! Very sturdy and durable!

Great size
Got these for additional hummingbird feeder holders. Work great and not too far to reach over the deck railing. The only issue I have with these and the other model from a different vendor is that the screws are just slightly too long (less than 1/8 inch too long) for standard wood railing. As such when you screw them to the outside of the railing so they hang over the grass instead of the deck itself the sharp tip of the screw pokes into inside of the desk area. A really nice cut/scratch waiting to happen.

Simple & Strong
We used this bracket to mount a large, heavy bird feeder. We mounted it on a pressure-treated 2x2 with a concrete base. I originally used the provided 1" wood screws (BTW, the provided screws are stainless steel - kudos for that!) but I was concerned they might work loose with the feeder rocking a bit in the wind. So I replaced them with two 2" #8 stainless steel machine bolts with washer, lock washer and nut on the back of the 2x2. This is totally secure and only the feeder will need to be taken down for the next hurricane that visits. A note about the arm itself. It is wrought iron and has a very nice powder coat finish. Hopefully that will keep it rust free for quite some time but even if it develops some surface rust, it's quite thick and should last many years.

Good Pole
The actual pole is good, but you may want to measure the intended placement because the length might seem larger than it looks once installed. Also, the included screws are not high quality, so expect to buy better screws.

Seems rugged, but mounting could stand improvement.
The rod itself feels solid and well-made. That said, how it attaches could likely be improved. The mounting holes are small so finding alternate hardware may prove problematic. The provided screws are short with narrow thread, so I have serious questions as to whether it will remain secured in a fence post after 5 years in scorching Texas sun. So in a future revision I'd love to see larger mounting holes and more substantial screws. Would easily pay a dollar or two more for those improvements. Also, black screws to match the color of the rod would be great. For now, I'll have to use marker or paint to hide the shiny metal screw heads.

Very sturdy and well finished. Dimensions are not correct.
This rail brackett is extremely well made and the finish is applied well. The clamp is strong, smooth, and easy to operate. The dimensions in the description are inaccurate. I have no idea what the 7" in the product title refers to. Length of pole from back of clamp to center of hook - 24". Distance the center of the hook extends horizontally from the back of the clamp - 18". Rise above the clamping surface to the bottom of the hook - 11".

These certainly are wrought iron!
I was looking for a sturdy hook to hang plants off my deck but was only finding screw together tubes and was worried they would bend or break. Then I found these. I was skeptical but when they box came, I could tell by the weight of it that I made the right choice! While I am still waiting for the weather to get warmer to get plants, I put these up right away and it was as easy as putting in two screws. These are heavy duty, make no mistake about it and should last forever.

Works with small/short feeders on decks.
We got this to mount on the back rail of our deck so that we could see birds using the feeder from indoors. It works well for this purpose, but only with a squat feeder. The angle only gives about a 12" of lift above the deck rail, so the view of a longer feeder or one with a long chain would be obstructed. We keep a suet cage on it, which is the perfect size. Will switch to a hummingbird feeder in summer.

Way too short to be useful
This thing is SO short like not even 2 feet long if that. Then coupled with the angle and the birdfeeder ends up handing about a foot away from the house. So if you're buying this to keep squirrels away then look elsewhere as this is way too short. Going to return and try something else or longer.

The arm looks very sturdy, the included screws, not so much
The arm is heavy and thick and will support your bird feeder without problem. I suggest using longer conscruction screws to fix it though, because the screws they provide are small and look cheap.

great design
Only flaw on this, is it comes with two very short screws. Feels like my bird house one day might take it out of the railing, but only time will tell. So far so good, and birds can now access both sides of the feeder.

Missing stainless steel screws
The Item is sturdy. It had a intact empty bag attached where I supposed the stainless steel screws should be.Not a big deal, but if it's not provided, correct the description on the item.
