Easy to use

I purchased three of these. One for each air compressor and one for my drop down hose reel. This coupling hits all different styles.

These have a two stage slide to connect them. One attaches the hose to the tool, slide up the second one for air. They also work with any type of hose barb

Terrific piece but a little pricey.

There are great devices and are very easy to connect/disconnect. The locking collar stays in position to accept the next connector when it releases a connector. The male connector inserts very easily. These are really a joy to use. There is no more struggle to pull the collar into position while trying to jam the male connector into it. One caveat: the slider to relieve pressure in the line before disconnecting a tool must be returned to its closed position before the connector will allow air to flow through it. The slider must be moved down to relieve pressure in the line before disconnecting a tool. Once the tool is disconnected, the slider must be moved up to its closed position or it won't allow air to flow when the next tool is connected. The pressure release feature is a very good thing and is very, very simple and easy to operate. It is no hassle at all. The fact that this item works with 5 different types of male connectors is beyond useful. It eliminates the need to change out the male connectors on tools because it is not compatible with the female connector on the air supply hose. Even if your connectors are all compatible, that may not be the case with a new or used air tool you acquire. Or perhaps a friend is working in your shop with his/her own air tools. With these connectors, it won't matter what male connectors he has on tools.

ITEM DOES NOT LOOK LIKE THE PHOTO

I just received the Milton S-1751 5 in 1 safety coupler. I'm not sure how it works, but it sure does NOT look like the pictures. It is covered with 6 rubber o-rings. I suspect they are there to protect the coupling, but I see them just wearing out and breaking over time. The ORIGINAL design looks BETTER and appears to have better function and grip. I'm not sure if I'm going to keep this. Perhaps I'll send it back and get the Coilhose Pneumatics version of this device.
