This better work!

I live just outside of Denver, Colorado…at about 6,800 ft in elevation. We can get pretty cold and snowy Falls and Winters, so I need to cover my patio furniture most of the year…even in the Summer due to the intense sunshine that we get. I am going on my 3rd table/chair cover in 4 years.…and I’m tired of buying them and only having them last one Fall/Winter. The ones I purchased before buying this cover were all from Amazon…and two of them were Amazon recommended. Sadly, the recommended ones were the ones that fell apart the fastest. They looked nice but that was about it. The biggest issue I have is that I need a very large cover…128” long and 84” wide in order to fully cover my furniture. Our patio chair backs stick up higher than the table and they have “hard edges”…and not soft rounded edges, so once the cover gets wet and or wet and cold (snow melting and re-freezing) and then the harsh sun hitting it…the weight of the covers causes tears to form at the edges of the chair back. The last “recommended” cover that I bought lasted 6 months. It literally disintegrated in my hands when I was trying to take it off my table and chairs. Ridiculous! This cover has a different type of fabric…seems much more sturdy. The drawstrings that come with this cover and the other covers I’ve purchased are absolutely useless. They are thin elastic cords that don’t have enough strength to withstand the pulling required to get them to cinch tightly around the furniture. They might work better on a smaller table, but I’ve never had much luck with them. These covers are like big sails. They are heavy…but if you get a good gust of wind, they’ll blow off very easily. I ended up buying some ‘bungee strap clamps’ from Home Depot that are used to hold down tarps. The clamps do not require you to cut holes in your table cover. They just pinch the edge of the cover very tightly and have a hole where you connect your bungee cord. I then run 2 long bungee cords from side to side and another from front to back and it’s not going anywhere. I also bought some foam pipe insulation from Home Depot (kind of like a foam pool noodle…just smaller diameter and much cheaper than noodles) and put that across the tops of my chair backs to soften the hard edges. Also…we remove our seat cushions and put them in large garbage bags and lay them flat on the table before we put the cover on. This creates a raise in the center of the table so the snow/rain can run easily run off the cover and not sit in a pool causing your cover to rot prematurely. Fingers crossed that this cover lasts a while. If this cover fails quickly…I may just get some ugly tarps.

Good value for the money.

I ordered another one. The first one lasted three years on my back deck in hot, occasionally windy summer weather, and throughout the moderate often windy KY winters.

Does not come with 4 sets of buckles.

It only has 2 buckle sets to secure to your patio table. The description says 4 which is misleading. Mine keeps on getting blown halfway off when it gets windy.

Great Cover for Rectangular Patio Table Set w/ 6 Large Chairs

I replaced a stock cover for my rectangular-shaped patio table w/ 6 chairs. I have a beast of a patio set, it's very large, and this fits it very well. This is a much better cover than the one that came with my set (which was also not a bad cover) - but this one is much more heavy duty, I really like it. The fit is a bit weird, but I've got some tall-backed, large chairs, so I expected it to be a difficult fit. But it's large enough to cover everything very, very well. I'd buy it again if I had to. Update (10 months later): I am having to buy this again, as the harsh weather we get here has entirely destroyed it. We have extreme weather conditions, from 115 degrees in the hot summer to sometimes having snow in the winter. I barely use my patio set, so it was mostly covered by this cover the entire year. It made it January to October. By September it showed tears. We had major winds in October and that finished it off. I've searched for another large enough to replace this, with possibly more durability, and can't find anything better. Sometimes you just have to decide that nothing is full-proof. I'll make this part of an annual purchase. What I love about it is 1) It fits my extra large patio set VERY well; and 2) it not only has a pully to tighten it up, but it also has a few snaps to secure it to my set. It's the best I can find that has the size and everything I need to keep it secured in my harsh weather. It is a very thick, durable material. I'm not too disappointed that it lasted only close to a year up here where I'm at, using it all the time as I have. I think this year I'll try to be more mindful of removing it during the nicer weather, to give it a break, to try to get it to last a bit longer. I'll update you next year after I purchase this a 2nd time and try it again!

love seat, umbrella and BBQ in October 2014

We bought this brand of outdoor cover for our table, love seat, umbrella and BBQ in October 2014. This past spring I had to throw away the table cover and now its time to throw away the BBQ cover due to the material breaking up from the strong Southern California sun. After looking again at the various brands and their reviews, 3 years seems to be the max. I'm guessing the table went first due to being south facing at the front of our house facing ocean all day verses the BBQ which sits behind the house getting some afternoon shade. But having said that, the love seat is also in the same location as the table and has no rips or breakups only fading. I'm guessing the chair corners and rain build up on table did not help the material ripping. I just read a review where someone put a broom under the cover to help keep it off the table and tennis balls on the corners of the chairs. I'm going to try this on our next table cover. So far the umbrella cover is holding up, just a little fading. We also purchased 2 heater covers in Jan'14, the one in the shade has held its color and no breakup in material. The one in the sun has some fading and the top has some ripping where the screws have poked through the material. I have just ordered a BBQ cover from the same company but this time with their Hickory heavy duty material @ $42.00, more than their regular cover. Lets see if this last longer than 3 years :0)

Not Durable for Me

When new, the cover works great. Unfortunately, it only lasted 18 months (through 2 winters and 1 summer) before it started tearing and weathering badly (the UV exposure seemed damaging to it). I'll be looking for a different brand to replace this one.

Clips to hold down the cover all ripped off

Cover looked durable but after a while the snap clips which are supposed to hold the cover down over your furniture have all ripped off leaving holes where they were sewn on.

Great cover

Love this patio cover. In my case I am not using it to cover a patio table and chairs. Instead, it covers my entire outdoor patio collection and it covers it perfect. Looks to be made of good quality fabric and will see how it handles a tough Canadian winter, although it is mostly covered by the hard top gazebo.

Worth every penny

I am extremely happy with not only the quality of the product, but their warranty and service. We live very close to the ocean and Classic Accessories proudly stood behind their product after a couple of years, suggesting an upgrade due to our location. The cost was minimal and the product was shipped in two days, to Canada, at no extra charge. Wonderful product and even better customer service.

Great customer service!

Nice products. One of the covers tore at the end of year 3 and was replaced on warranty even though we didn’t report it until after the 3 year warranty expired. Would definitely recommend Classic Accessories.
