Look great when on the ceiling, covered up popcorn without issue
The look great when on the ceiling, up close not so much. Unless you at 7 foot tall and staring at the ceiling tiles, they look great on the ceiling. If you look up close, yes they are made of styrofoam. Once mounted on the ceiling, you can not tell. I did not paint them. There is a slight sheen, when light is on them. Hardly noticeable. Had to use tile mastic to get them to properly adhere on popcorn ceiling. Bought one box for hall way and then 4 more boxes for the rest of my house. The price changes drastically, so be patient and you will find them for about 1/2 price of list.

Recycled Styrofoam Beer Cooler Ceiling Tile :-)
The media could not be loaded. Generally, I have to give the A La Maison Ceiling Tiles at least a B+ and I would use them again. Overall, I am very pleased with my ceiling rebuild project (I had to replace 3 sheets of gypsum board before applying the tiles). The total tiles required for my project were two cases of 48 each, 96 total and when completed I had just 2 tiles remaining. I saw so many others using calling guns with Power Lock adhesive so I went out and bought a battery-operated (Ryobi) caulking gun and started with 6 PL cartridges, don't waste your money, it was overkill and actually didn't do that good of a job, not to mention the PL yield was a paltry 6/7 tiles per cartridge so I opted for a gallon of Acryylpro tile adhesive and a putty knife, perfect! As you can see by the video, I am no spring chicken, a retired Local 4 Jersey Bricklayer 20 years or more ago, so in all fairness, to DIY'ers I have been around the trades for more than 60 years and found this a slam dunk if you want to cover a bad ceiling. Some of the video producers on YouTube are full of shirt, 2 hours to complete a room (maybe a closet) But when you are working alone like I was, you can spend the best part of an hour just laying out the ceiling, my tile's cut dimensions from front to back and left to right are within a half inch of each other, that takes a bit of planning and there is also relocation of lighting/fan fixture so it lies in the center of a tile. I found after you place a tile and position it using a slightly dampened washcloth does a great job pressing the tile glue in place. I did notice that because these tiles are very thin styrofoam you can compress it horizontally, maybe more than you would want to and actually make it shorter than the 19 5/8 inch design. I wore 8 mil nytril raised diamond latex-free gloves which don't slide but they do a great job moving the tile after it is in place, and sometimes just a little too much. All in all, I am very happy with the outcome though I think the prices for this type of styrofoam tile are all over the place and maybe a little overpriced for the raw materials used.

Just keep going
Just keep going. When they first started going up didn’t look so great. You could definitely tell it was Styrofoam but once finished it looks really good.

Very light
Our box was damaged upon arrival, making 4 of the individual packs of tiles unusable. these tiles are very light and appear easy to adhere, they just did not have the finished look that we were hoping for.

Good product, dents very easily.
I installed these panels above a shower. I spray painted them with, Krylon Fusion, Hammered Finish - Matte Cast Iron. It created a great look but you have to be very careful during application. The spray paint will disintegrate the foam if applied to heavy in one spot. A few lite coats worked great & dissolved the foam just enough to give a nice, "textured" look. I then used a Rustoleum Gloss, Clear & finally added a black border. It is very easy to cut, but VERY easy to dent. Liquid Nails worked perfect with Silicone caulk, before paint was applied. I had (1) damaged panel which was not an issue, because I needed a template for light cutouts.

These Are Awesome!
I love how my ceiling turned out. These are styrofoam so if that will bother you these might not be for you, but even though they are styrofoam they look great and we’re easy to put up. I didn’t buy the adhesive they recommended because I read some reviews that it wasn’t the best so I tried gorilla glue spray adhesive (would not recommend) this kind of melts the styrofoam and the smell was too much so I switched to gorilla glue construction adhesive in the tube and this worked great.

Took some experimenting...
So I got these to replace the popcorn texture that was on the ceiling of my 2nd floor balcony. First time using these. I scraped the ceiling pretty good so I had a clean, even surface to start on. I didn't have any luck with the tube adhesive they recommend, so I tried spray adhesive. I used Gorilla brand that I bought from Wal-Mart. It worked well, I'm suprised to say. You have to spray from about 8" away and put a nice even coat on the ceiling and the tile. Just 1 tile at a time and let tthe glue get tacky for 10 seconds or so. Then hold the tile in place making sure to press firmly on the entire tile to make contact with the ceiling. Dont go crazy and puddle the glue on the tile. The glue WILL melt the tile if you use too much.It sounds mor complicated than it was, but it's been several months and I am happy with the results so far.

Great outcome
Really transformed my kitchen ceiling. I used the Locktite as recommended. I used 4 tubes on 40 squares. I bought the 48 pack. One tile damaged and not usable and one tile, one side was damaged so I used it for a cut piece. The corners are rounded like so I do have some tiny gaps on the corners. (I can live with that.) I did paint them before putting them up with a latex paint. Because I Did not like the look of the foam . They are fragile so I took my time. It’s a beautiful transformation at a low cost and less work. Before and after pics.

Looks great, easy to install.
Definitely needs to be painted. Would have ordered the painted version if I knew it existed. That being said, it's very easy to install and the style I purchased was tedious to paint but not impossible. In the end it looks very nice. We like it. I'd buy something like this again.

Great product, lightweight and easy to install.
Product was used to improve ceilings in our cottage. Used in two bedrooms. Looks really good and updates the rooms significantly. Installed with caulking. Good value for money. Similar products at big box stores would have cost us $1000.

Love our ceiling
First box came damaged but was replaced without issue. Once we figured out to let the glue cure a bit before sticking on the ceiling it went up really easy and fairly quick. Looks high value but for a great cost. amazing. Used a chalked plumb line to set up grid. We painted tiles first and just had to do touch ups after installation.

Amazing- don’t listen to bad reviews
These tiles are amazing. I was hesitant to purchase from some shady reviews but they came undamaged and so easy to install. Above is before and after photos. I had wood inserts in the ceiling and they covered perfectly. I painted before installation and did need 2 coats for good coverage. Used pl 300 foam board adhesive in a caulking tube. They are like the foam plate styrofoam but that doesn’t matter to me because they worked beautifully. Couldn’t be happier!

Not a high value product for the price.
I found the product to be extremely frail, thin, and easy to damage. Many panels came damaged on the side from the seller (easy to do). These appear to be the same consistency as an styrofoam 12 pack of eggs container.
