Aggressive
I find that I can drop down one grit from my usual. I drum sand to 120, was using 100 or 120 on an orbital sander to remove the sanding lines. I find that I can use a 150 to start with this sanding disc and get the same results. I like the fact that I can just set the sander on the disc without lining up the holes. The disc's do get rather soft and "wimpy" after a few uses. It may be due to taking them off the hook & loop. I compare them with other high quality disc' s and I find that they seem to wear out faster, however I have not run a test. I wish a hand held unit was available to make use of the old ones, I may see what I can make to use them.

You can do more with less
This sanding disk not only works extremely well, it's still got a lot of life left to it. I was skeptical, thinking it shouldn't cost more than a disk that has more abrasive on it, but the patterned abrasive holds on and lets the dust through, doesn't get clogged up like other sanding disks. An even finer grit (up to 600-1000 grit) in this line would be helpful hope they're able to create them.

Really fast cutting and long lasting
All the reviews are right, this is great sandpaper. Don't waste your time or money on the 'old style' sandpaper unless you love spending hours sanding. It cuts fast and lasts plenty long. This has saved me a ton of time, and the price is very fair.

Fantastic product - great sanding performance and dust removal
I tried a multi-pack of these first and then bought 50 packs of all grids because these are hands down the best sanding discs I have ever used. They stay abrasive even with extremely hard materials like hardened steel or materials that load up discs fast like copper or certain types of wood. These things work as well for metal as they do for wood, drywall, paint before re-coating... you name it. I use them on 2 18v brushless bosch sanders and the dust extraction is unreal especially with a vacuum hooked up to it (but even with the built in dust extraction). 3M makes good or great products in general, but normally you pay a good bit more than for bargain alternatives. Here, the value for money is off the charts, with some of the lowest prices per disc and the longer lasting compound.

Wish I'd found these sooner
After years of using a the Gator brand, I finally switched to the 3M brand. These are so much better than the other brand! They do cost a bit more, but they sand better, so in the end I think I will come out even. Plus there's less sawdust.

If you refinish furniture you NEED these
I was getting so frustrated when trying to strip furniture (especially trying to get old stain off of wood) bc the sand paper would get gunky after like 2 seconds. I saw somewhere that mesh sandpaper worked a lot better so I finally decided to try it and I am so glad I did. These have saved me so much time and frustration. Just buy them….The price is worth it!

Amazing value for the best sanding disc out there? Yes please!
I've been using these almost daily for around 4 months now. I'm very happy with them. Like many of you I've watched the videos online of the side by side tests many Youtubers have done. All of which show that these Cubitron sanding discs are far better than the stuff you can buy at the hardware store, or the cheaper stuff here on Amazon. And guess what? They're just as cheap or cheaper than those inferior brands! These are an absolute no brainer. Top tier quality and the price is right? You don't see that often. Do keep in mind you'll want to buy a hook and loop 'pad saver' if you use these or any other type of mesh sandpaper. I don't know why, but all mesh sandpaper tends to make the velcro on your sander break down quicker. This is one of the rare instances of being able to buy and use a top tier product for bargain prices.

Having been a joiner for over 40 years
I was somewhat mystified by the negative comments of some. How they are being used is very important. DIY guys might wreck these through being heavy haded. I found these great they do a fine job for which they’ve been made I’m still using the first one - good quality!

Excellent
The sand and leave a nice finish, for the appropriate grit used. What makes these fantastic, is how long they last. Being that they are a mesh rather than a paper backing, the sanded residue goes through. Otherwise, every now and then I take it off the sander, blow it with air from my compressor and it is like new. So far these go like 10-20 longer than most paper backed sanding discs, possibly more. They are great on most wood surfaces, as well as metal and auto body work. Great product.

They are far from being as great as the hype
The pros: they do an acceptable job sanding The cons: there are 2 main ones. Their practical usability is hot garbage. The first is their hook-n-loop backs are AWFUL at sticking to the sander’s pad. Ugh. The natural vibrations of the sander CONSTANTLY drive the sanding discs off the sanding pad, which exposes the hooks on the edge and permanently damages the sanding pad. Neither the Diablos nor Bosch nor cheap amazon noname pads have any issues sticking to the same fairly new sanding pad. But these 3M mesh cubitrones do. The second one is more inherent to the mesh design. I personally hate this. The wood piece being worked on had a barely visible end of a staple embedded in it. While it did damage the conventional noname disc, it completely destroyed the 3M mesh disc. Just shredded it and obviously damaged the sanding pad as well. You could argue that the surface should have been clean of any staples, but seeing this level of damage from a staple, I would expect a similar damage from catching on the edge of a plywood or anything else that has a pointed end. I would return there pads if they haven’t been destroyed by their very brief period of use.

Very short life
I do a lot of drywall sanding, including painted drywall. Haven't even tried sanding wood or anything harder than drywall. This 3M cubitron disk's life is very short. 80 grit mesh disk will survive about 16 linear feet of sanding the edge of painted drywall when I prepare it for taping. It does good job sanding it. I like the mesh, since sanding generates a ton of dust and this 3M mesh disk works very good with Festool sander and dust extractor (hence not 1 star). But in my opinion, it is still unacceptable to change the disk after basically sanding only two drywall boards. 240 grit disks are holding better, but it is logical, since I use this grit disks for more delicate work. Still, even with 240 it wears out way too fast even comparing with low and mid range sanding paper.

Best Sandpaper (mesh) ever
This line of sanding products is now my goto! Whileore expensive than other sandpaper it cuts better, faster and last longer. This mesh makes dust extraction so effective that I often don't wear a mask.
