Sturdy gloves we use at work
We use these at work and I wanted a nicer, stronger pair then the cheap "werker" brand gloves. I like these and so far they have held up.

Good grip
I bought a pair for my husband and son. They like the grip and the fact it isn’t thin material.

Nitrile Lining Makes Them Stand Out
These do work as advertised but due to the mixed blessing of the nitrile rubber palm covering, they aren't suitable for fine work. I call the palm lining a mixed blessing because it does serve to give the gloves a vastly superior grip than cut resistant gloves lacking this lining. Nitrile is also resistant to fuels unlike some other materials 3M may have chosen to use as a liner so these are suitable for work where those substances may leak onto the glove. The downside to the lining is fit. The glove tends to bunch up a bit when flexed. Unlike this material without the lining, the glove doesn't, well, fit like a glove. There is some bunching along the way. In addition, the fingers are quite long - too long for my admittedly stubby hands meaning I am left with a bit of material at the end. This makes fine work such as using a number pad difficult or even impossible. To test cut resistance I tried cutting the gloves using several sharp straight blades and a very sharp serrated one. I used moderate pressure. I also tried both the rubber and reverse side of the glove. None of my attempts to cut through the glove even left a mark. The nitrile lining may also afford a certain degree of electrical insulation. So I got to give these gloves high marks for utility. They grip well even if used on oily conditions where they'll also last a good long while. You can feel the blade pressing on the glove but it won't cut through at least at the pressures I used which mimic what has injured me in the field in the past. Remember, these aren't armor and a fast enough hit can break you bones from the impact even if the glove material isn't penetrated. If they only fit a bit tighter or the fingers were a bit shorter. Still, a good safe work glove useful in the shop, garden, farm and the kitchen among other places.

Good Gloves for Protection during Mechanical Work
These are good gloves for maintenance work, either around a house or in a business. A coating protects the hand and fingers, though a strong, sharp surface could still penetrate the gloves and cause a cut. See the "cut rating" level on the product page. The description doesn't say these are for yard work, but I think they could be used for that purpose while using yard equipment. The coating wouldn't allow the sense of feel some glove wearers like who either cut the fingertips of gloves off, or buy gloves that allow the fingertips to protrude. But for tasks that don't need that type of precise sensation, these would be good gloves to wear that would provide better protection than finger-exposed gloves. These gloves seem to allow a good grip, for example, on non-live cables, wiring, bricks, or wood. These gloves come in medium, large, or extra large, so may not fit smaller hands. I took one star off because I thought the gloves could be a little more flexible, but perhaps with use they would have a little more flexibility. A good product nonetheless that I will use around my house.

If you need a glove with cut resistance, these are a nice pair. They have a rubber/nitrile coating on the front, which makes them not so great for small tasks where you need a lot of dexterity, but are still pretty nice for using a knife or sharp objects. The ones I got are ANSI 5, which is quit a high rating, basically good for most light industrial tasks. I got a Large and I'm normally in between L and XL, probably should have sized up to the XL.
